Am I the only one who feels completely stuck in Coloseum lately in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes?
For the past few weeks, I haven’t been able to increase a single character level — not even by one level. The whole system feels so heavily locked behind pay-to-win mechanics that progression has basically stopped. Once a character needs those specific higher-tier materials to move up, it feels like there’s absolutely no way to improve unless you’re spending.
In the previous Coloseum Era, it worked very differently. After a few days of farming, you could at least push one character up by a level or make some noticeable progress. It felt slow sometimes, sure — but it felt possible.
Now? It feels completely frozen. No upgrades, no real progression, just hitting a wall over and over.
Are you guys experiencing the same thing, or am I missing something? Would love to hear how it looks on your end.
No it’s not just you. It is designed to keep you from having fun unless you pay them.
A lot of the whales were crying and moaning that the money they were spending wasn’t making up for the fact that they don’t know how to play the game.
So CG introduced this new system to protect the “tip of the spear” players fragile feelings. They introduced the 10th anniversary purging of the player base. If you do not spend x amount CG does not want you here.
Yup, you're definitely not the only one, everyone in my guild feels the same. It's ridiculous.
It's EA - everything is P2P, i refuse to pay for these 2 toons for this era, i wasn't even in the top 20 last era and i probably spent £200 (joke), also it's the only way to get R10 mats aprt from the £99 Rip OFF packs which doesn't even give you the full amount of gear to even get to R10.
All EA / CG do is make the game worse with constant new toons and more bugs which they do not fix......
thekustosh Yup, same-sies. I'm especially annoyed that the episode quests keep requiring higher levels, so I have to use all of my crystals on era level materials and currency to barely pull off wins, if at all, and because my shard members are apparently huge spenders this era, I only get 25 to 50 EC a day. It's extremely frustrating.
