We'll see if this is good or bad. If it feels like another attempt to stick your hand deep into my wallet, I'm done. No more sunken cost fallacy. You talk about "fun". This game is not fun. It's a grind with momentary plateaus of goal achievement which only enable you to move to the next grind.
TW/GAC are just big pushes to read other websites. There's just too many meta teams to keep track of all the information and try to stay on top of it. Your attempts to destroy even outside help with datacrons not withstanding. Sure, there's going to be some pinch point where the players that really really read their kits and min/max the fun right out of the game are always going to win. As kits move towards short novels that do everything but spell out a time of day the ability can be used, I care less and less and move more and more to button mashing.
Remember when SW was fun? It was adventure. It was about telling a story. Now the story is "you didn't add the latest omicron, well I guess you're effed in TW" ... "Oh there's a new OP datacron, let's put 50 of them on def in TW". Here's a thought - try blending the PVP and PVE so there are fewer overall events but they can feel more epic with better rewards after each phase? I don't think ROTE is set up for this but what if 1-2 nodes on a planet were PVP instead of another fight of jabba auto to ult?
Again, we'll see, but I don't see any of these changes pointing us in a direction that says "more fun".
