Finally!!! The "Import account" fix listed here worked for me (galaxy S21). I can't remember the exact order, but I had already reinstalled the game, restarted the phone, cleared out cache, and checked Google play settings without any success. I only have one account so there wasn't a concern for me loosing an alt account as someone else had previously mentioned. I wasn't having any luck trying to "Connect account" through Google play at all. As it stands right now, I am signed in and my EA account is linked, but I am still not signed in/connected to Google play. When I hit the "Sign Into Google Play" button under account settings it's prompting me to Logout, which I have not tried yet. I feel like this will put me right back into that Google play sync cycle of madness! I think I'll wait to try sync them both up until a more permanent solution is posted. I hope this helps!
