Rewards can’t be sent too early because players who want to unlock Stranger day 1 will spend less resources, including money, especially that not everyone is registered here so they may even be not aware that they will get 20 extra shards. It applies to the rest shards we are going to get as well. People will continue to buy shards, and they CG will send rewards so they can be converted to shard store tokens instead being useful to unlock new characters.
