I’ve been playing NBA Live 19 and it still holds up. The player movement, spacing, and transition game feel way smoother than most people give it credit for. Yeah, 2K has the hype and the microtransactions, but Live has that old-school flow. It’s just more fun sometimes — feels like basketball instead of a grind. I wish EA would’ve doubled down instead of backing off. If they dropped a Live 25 with an updated engine and fixed player models? It could actually make noise again. The servers are broken online play isn’t working for anyone I believe. EA FIX THIS WE WANT BASKETBALL GAMES TO BE FUN NOT REALISTIC THATS THE ONLY REASON LIVE STILL HAS A SMALL PLAYER BASE. I find it incredibly difficult to believe you guys never made another live considering it’s the fun version of 2k and now the servers don’t even work. Fix this soon

EA Sports team, We love basketball and want NBA Live to succeed again. Here’s what the community really wants from a new NBA Live game: Bring back affiliations — like in 2K17 — with 3 clear player types/affiliations, each with their own park. Let us spawn directly in our affiliation park, no huge city to walk through or load. Show us our MyPlayer drip by letting us walk around in our custom outfits and flex our style in real-time, not just in menus. Make real competitive park events with legit rewards — things like unlimited boosts, exclusive gear, XP bonuses, and leaderboards that keep us grinding and coming back. Create a dedicated “Stage” arena for the real competitive players — a place where the best of the best can play high-stakes matches, tournaments, and prove who’s the top dog. Keep the world compact and smooth — a clean park area with a store, gym, leaderboards, and the Stage arena, but no oversized city that wastes time loading or walking. Focus on fast load times, skill-based matchmaking, and crossplay to make the experience tight and fair. If EA nails this, NBA Live can easily win back players and stand toe-to-toe with 2K. With the current state of basketball gaming, I—and many others in the community—firmly believe it’s time for NBA Live to make a comeback. The community is eager, the competition has grown complacent, and there’s a clear opportunity for EA to bring back a game that truly respects the sport and its fans. Why the Time Is Right The NBA 2K franchise, while dominant, has unfortunately become more focused on monetization than innovation. Year after year, core gameplay improvements are minimal, and the community is forced to navigate aggressive microtransactions just to enjoy the game fully. Many players feel that 2K has shifted its priorities away from the essence of basketball and toward profit at the expense of gameplay and player experience. NBA Live's Strengths Stand Out In contrast, NBA Live brought several refreshing features that still hold up today: A superior player builder system that offered flexibility and balance without locking crucial abilities behind paywalls. More accessible online modes, making it easier for players to hop in and enjoy the game without being punished for not spending money. Street and Pro-Am modes that actually felt like basketball—not arcade simulations filled with unrealistic animations. There’s a Growing Audience Ready to Support Gamers are more informed than ever and are actively searching for alternatives. A polished, next-gen NBA Live built on fair gameplay mechanics, community feedback, and modern graphics would be a breath of fresh air. With crossplay, offline grind-friendly modes, and a return to basketball fundamentals, EA could capture a massive share of a dissatisfied fanbase. I was loading into the game for the first time since I got a new console when I loaded in, I was missing all of the good dribble moves. This goes back from bone collector to the professor and influencer. This makes it very hard to play with your friends and have comp settings when they have all the good dribble moves and you don’t I used to have all of them but now they’re all gone. This is a very sad moment.EA CBB Game
Since CFB 26 is coming out this summer, I think we should start asking for the CBB games to be returned. This would fix EA's non-existent basketball market since they quit making NBA Live. Make the same agreement the CFB players have for CBB, and bring back college basketball games. Things to Include: Legacy Mode: (Similar setup to College Hoops 2k8) Allow Team Builder to be utilized for this as well. Player Career Mode: (RTG but for basketball) The previous year's March Madness tournament mode and much more that I cannot think of immediately, but I wanted to start this discussion because we need the college hoops games back.
