I would like to propose a new expansion for The Sims 4 inspired by the beloved game, The Sims Castaway. This expansion offered a unique and immersive experience, combining survival elements with the classic gameplay we all love. Bringing back The Sims Castaway theme with the enhanced graphics and capabilities of The Sims 4 would be a dream come true for many fans. Thank you for considering this suggestion!5Views0likes0CommentsProject Renee/Future of Sims
It was very disappointing to hear that there won’t be a Sims 5. I just don’t understand where this is all heading. Project Renee just looks like another sims game but not an UPGRADED one. I believe we need another Sims game but this time it needs to be better than all the other games. It needs to have something from all the games otherwise what’s the point? In my opinion The Sims 4 is so incredibly boring. It’s a cash grab and if anything the game is actually just a building simulator. Also, not making a newer, better game because of this reasoning- “we would hate to make players start over” is just pathetic and lazy. We have said for so long that we need something like The Sims 3, the Sims 2 and most definitely not another boring cash grab Sims 4 but me and many others see that our pleads and our suggestions aren’t being heard. For me if the new Sims game isn’t better than all of the other ones then I’m done. Im going to just play and devote my time to InZoi and Paralives. Those developers seem to actually want to listen to the player base. I’ve been a Sims fan ever since Sims 2 came out. I’ve played all of the Nintendo games, the PlayStation games and after I got a PC I started playing Sims 3 then the Sims 2. I saw and experienced how much better the other games were despite them being older. Im sorry for this being a negative post but, if it’s not then are you guys ever going to listen?Tinyfishy2412 days agoSeasoned Newcomer98Views1like0CommentsHow about redirecting dead 5 resources to 3 revival and fixing?
Just that. The Store is right there still operating like the economic, legal tender and royalbovine. Waiting to keep going and pick up where it left off. The next iteration doesn't have one of those does it eh? Eh? And, and and and and, we have the biggest demographic. The greys. We far outnumber the others. The thanks they (3 creators) and we ought to get with the run-on computer sales created when everyone was like "I need more RAM!" and others were like "graphics card! processor!"...just more more more ahhhh! My son, who does some kind of computer science says its not the graphics card, or the RAM, and didn't say what, but then my brother who doesn't do anything says its the RAM ... anyway, everyone got bigger and better computers because of it. And then it needed all o' those mods ... does it really need all of them? They did make too many babies and divorce, cheat and leave town and what not too much before nraas SP, and then there's the times they get stuck at the diner in Riverview and under the foundations at La Simla China. Things like that got sorted by patches in Sims 2 though. I wonder why not in 3. I will get back to my study ... But first. I'm serious! I don't know how this works online I've only done a paper one 20 years ago. Someone else is welcome to set it up :) Maybe they have a checklist that mobilises resources like that, similar to when surveying a disaster zone, but instead of directing them to that other one, if enough show interest with a petition, within the checklist time period, they might send it, the time, money, people and effort, our way, to 3. Revive and fix 3! New Expansion for 3 with an extra-attentive patch! And a BBS. IF The SIMS decides to do conjoined worlds, to allow SIMS2 Worlds to exist beside SIMS 4 Worlds, etc. I would like an option with our EA accounts to enter the CD KEYS from older versions and the CD Keys for all the DLCs so we do not have to re-purchase. We have an entire bookshelf here of SIMS titles and all the DLCs. I think we even have our four copies of SIMS ONLINE still.ttuthill16 days agoNew Traveler10Views1like0CommentsPLEASE RECONSIDER TS5!!!
DEAR SIMS CREATORS OR EA I think it's silly to not consider sims 5, technology is advancing and we might not want to play the sims 4 graphics later in the future. I don't think it's a good idea to not look into sims 5 creation. we already have a lot more competition now with better graphics and they are slowly but surely adding way more features that the sims lack... I would petition to reconsider at least and take up ideas from moders to enhance gameplay, the amount of people that are complaining about what it lacks. I don't you should give up on sims 5, because a lot of people have been speaking about a fresh start. I hope you take mu suggestion into consideration. I believe if we did have a sims5 this would drive more people to want to become apart of the sims 5 community and bring more ideas to life. sincerely A sims lover!!lexigirl323 days agoNew Novice49Views0likes0CommentsThe Sims Creator Program

Hey. So, I was suddenly reminded that exists, so I'll share this. Back when I was a child, I played mostly casual games I found on the Internet and downloaded and played on the free trial. There were two games that I remember were The Sims themed. These were: The Sims Carnival: SnapCity The Sims Carnival: BumperBlast I also linked a video showing these games. So what were these games? SnapCity combined Tetris and SimCity, making you place falling blocks so that they build a city. BumperBlast was a shoot 'em up puzzle game where you had to bump into as many sims as you can. The videos do better explaining though. So then... I'll ask you. Have you played these games? What memories do you have with them? If you haven't, how do these games look?EgonVM2 months agoSeasoned Ace17Views0likes0CommentsThe Sims Medieval "Installation verification failure"
Hi all, In a fit of nostalgia I dug up my old physical copy of TS Medieval and redeemed the code in the EA launcher. Installed the game via the launcher since my modern desktop has no cd port and loaded up the game. When I get to the main screen I get an error "Installation verification failure" and it tells me to try reinstalling the game, then it crashed to desktop. Some searching on Google seems to suggest this is an issue of the launcher, that it does not properly install these old games. (I found some posts suggesting TS3 has the same issue) A workaround seems to be installing it using the cd. I do not own cd reader attachment and I do not feel like buying one simply because EA cannot properly install a game via their launcher. No amount of reinstalling or rebooting of the PC, game or EA launcher seems to fix it. Has anyone else faced this issue and how did you fix it?Kokopellian3 months agoRising Newcomer32Views0likes0CommentsShould I get OG Planet coaster when Planet Coaster 2 is coming out?

The Sims has no-doubt been a thing in most of our families for over 2 decades. During that time, have you ever let a younger relative start their own save file? Or maybe you were the younger relative who was allowed to play the game for a little bit? My mom used to play the console versions of the Sims series for a while. I remember on the PS2, I got the chance to play some Sims game on there, and my first order of business was to place a starry bed on an empty lot and just sleep there all day. All of a sudden, there was a mini-camera on the bottom right that notified me that a cop, burglar, or some random dude was walking nearby. I thought I was in HUGE trouble, so I quickly shut the game off and never played it again. When we got The Sims 3 on PS3, my mom allowed me to play the game under her supervision. What was the first thing I created on there? Smurfs. Yeah, neon blue, shirtless people with little white baseball caps or something. Not long after that, I got a little too confused over the controls to continue playing. More recently, my younger sister started playing The Sims 4 on PS4. She's created things like the Powerpuff Girls and I'm pretty sure the Professor has drowned in the swimming pool more times than once... My stories were primarily console focused, but this applies to PC as well. What's your young ones' silly creations?Chungytoon12 months agoNew Spectator32Views1like0CommentsHow they could handle the personality in Sim creation of Sims 5.
Just 10 suggestions, for purely the personality part of a Sim in character creation, how it could be improved. 1. Give each sim a fear/flaw. Kind of borrowing from Sims Medieval here with it's fatal flaws. It ensures every sim has a weakness, and like in sims medieval there could be a way to get rid of it. It would mean some traits would pretty much end up in this category like clumsy, hot headed, insomniac, coward, etc. 2. Bring back likes and dislikes but make it affect their free choices. Should be fixed in Sims 4 too by the way, if a Sim dislikes something, they should never do it on their own. applies to traits too if they determine that, like lazy sims not doing work on their own. On the other hand if they like an activity, music or something, they will actively look to engage with it. They won't start dancing to music they hate, they will switch to their favourite music and start dancing instead. 3. Give each sim 1 lifestyle. The idea of lifestyles is nice, but is very broken in Sims 4. I'd suggest making lifestyles like sort of a super trait that has greater impact and might override parts of some traits and others could be outright incompatible. For example lazy could be a lifestyle. Sims with it could be sitting back or laying back more relaxed on couches and chairs and could have various unique lazy interactions. Able to do various chores quickly but poorly, like if they clean a shower it gets dirty again faster and they won't clean on their own. Environmentalist could also be a lifestyle. Same for being a geek, a sports enthusiast, a rebel, neat freak, prudish, super extrovert and being a snob. There could be several things for each lifestyle that will always give satisfaction points when you do them, like sleeping in for a lazy sim, doing super nerdy stuff for a geek, playing sports for a sports enthusiast, etc. 4. Masculine/feminine slider. Could be five options here that would affect interactions. Sims could do them very masculine, slightly masculine, neutral, slightly feminine or very feminine. Would apply to all genders. It's purely for how they do their interactions, it would not affect sexual orientation or anything else. Like you could have a straight guy who is a rebel, bro and brave, but also very feminine in his movements. Or a gay guy who checks off all the stereotypical interests, yet is very masculine in his interactions. 5. Sexual orientation. It would pretty much be like a trait, exclusively to do with their sexuality. It would be something with a few sliders since it's kind of a spectrum. Like they could be exclusively into men or women, favour one a little or a lot, or be bisexual which could also work as pansexual to not make it too complicated. Could be 7 options on this slider ranging from straight to gay. Can be a slider for interest in intimacy as well, allowing sims to be asexual or woohoo addicted. And finally, a romantic slider with several options for how romantic the sim is, how they might express their love and will respond to others attempts to woo them. Two aromantic sims could be perfect for each other, they would not get on their knee to propose or anything and never make a big deal of whatever they do. Their love would be more unspoken but still there. An overly romantic sim would likely scare them off. Hopeless romantic, obsessive romantic, determined to create a big family, preferring one night stands and nothing serious.. It would all be covered here, as well as of course some middle of the road option for average sims. 6. Starting off with a few skills. This would be determined by traits, lifestyle and other things. Like athletic could give two points in fitness straight away, mechanic could give two points in handiness, artistic could give 1 point in all artistic skills, etc. And it would all stack with each other, so it could be possible to maybe start with 5 skill points in something. This could be something you could disable in options if you don't want it though. 7. Relation to animals. Also something you can set for every sim. This submenu would list all animals in the game and lets you select if your sim hates them, is allergic, avoids them, is neutral about them, likes them or loves them. A fear of animals could be a flaw that would apply to all animals and could make it impossible to set relationships in this submenu. 8. Relation to super naturals. Would work the same as animals, possibly without the allergy option but with the option to fear specific ones and also if they might have romantic interest in them. 9. Interest in technology. This could be a slider, and could allow for you to properly portray older sims who don't keep up with it and don't even carry a phone to being technology addicted to the point the sim is always on their phone. Technophobe would be the only option without a phone, and they could be harder to reach. Might still have a house phone though. The technology inept could have a phone but never use it on their own. 10. Ultimate dream. This could be optional and normally sims could get pop ups suggesting what it might be for children or teens, or some even only getting it as a young adult. This would be something bigger than any aspiration and would not have multiple steps. It would be more like sims 2 aspirations, a single thing that gives a huge amount of satisfaction points as well as another reward. Sims can only ever have one ultimate dream, so also only one of the rewards. The older sims get without it being fulfilled, the more unhappy they might get about that though, hence it's optional and some sims are easily content. Sims could also have a bigger chance of a midlife crisis if it's left unfulfilled and their midlife crisis could be more extreme. The final stage of every full career/proffession would be available as an ultimate dream. Other ultimate dreams could be having 10 children, mastering all skills, build a sentient robot, obtain all available diplomas, doing a super extreme sports thing that might kill them if not properly prepared, obtain a legendary treasure, become a billionaire, become super famous, woohoo with the same sim in every possible location, etc. These ultimate dreams could also be updated depending on installed expansions, like if an expansion adds new woohoo locations it could update that ultimate dream. The amount of satisfaction points for completing it could also be adjusted if need be, some could give a crazy amount such as mastering all skills. In a way this would allow for some interesting achievement hunting too.thefirsttemplar2 years agoNew Scout71Views0likes0Commentsincase you missed it

I really love the form that Aspirations take in this game, more than TS2 and TS3. I have so much fun fulfilling the multiple steps and milestones. And I hope there are individual wants/wishes, too--really good ones that aren't too easy and aren't too hard, and are more tailored to a Sim's personality and goals. I'm a goal-oriented player, and I hope that TS5 will be a good game for my playing style.41Views1like0CommentsWelcome to the Project Rene Discussion Board

The Next Generation of The Sims in Development The Sims team is building the next generation game and creative platform, reimagining The Sims that players know and love with even more new ways to play. The game, which is currently in its very early stages of development, has a working title “Project Rene.” This name was chosen to be reminiscent of words like renaissance and rebirth to represent the team’s renewed commitment for The Sims’ bright future. Project Rene will fundamentally evolve how Sims think and behave, how players create and customize their worlds, and innovate in entirely new ways. To start, we are experimenting with creative tools, a key part of The Sims’ DNA, and taking a look at what has worked before and how we can offer more flexibility to help with building and decorating in-game. With Project Rene, players will have the choice to play solo or collaborate with others, and will have the ability to play their game across supported devices. The Sims has always evolved to reflect our players and their experiences, and we are building on that foundation to encourage creativity and the ability to tell meaningful stories. This is just a first glimpse of what the team is working on, and we will continue to share more information on the game’s development and milestones along the way. Evolving Our Relationships with Creators For the first time in The Sims history, there will be a new destination for The Sims 4 players to download mods and custom content in a moderated, curated space through our new collaboration with Overwolf, the operators of CurseForge, a mod manager and discovery platform for user generated content. For years, The Sims community has been expanded by modders and custom content creators, and today marks a big step forward in recognizing and celebrating their contributions. We're empowering creators to give to the community by introducing a destination to host their incredible creations, and allow even more players to download user generated content for The Sims 4. We will not require modders and creators to move to or use the CurseForge platform. This collaboration is intentionally providing a supplementary experience to existing avenues for modding as well as providing a moderated platform with an additional level of security. When downloading custom content there is some risk, so always back up your data, and proceed with caution as you venture into the world of mods. When the platform launches, it will include content from some of your favorite creators. More to come on that and some very exciting special events soon! Be sure to follow The Sims 4 and Overwolf for updates. Exciting new updates for The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile We wanted to share new updates and new improvements coming to The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile. Available from today, players of The Sims FreePlay can look forward to improved appearances of Sim’s faces for preteen, teenager, adult and elderly life stages for the first time since the games’ release! As part of our ongoing efforts to improve representation; hairstyles, glasses and earrings are also now shared across all genders. In addition, the annual “Christmas in the Heir” seasonal quest will be coming to the game in December 2022 with a new special story. Plus, build and live in your own luxury superyacht, a feature that is coming to the game in early 2023. Download or update your game from the app store today! For The Sims Mobile, we heard what our Simmers want and we have a big update.
