The Sims Medieval "Installation verification failure"
Hi all, In a fit of nostalgia I dug up my old physical copy of TS Medieval and redeemed the code in the EA launcher. Installed the game via the launcher since my modern desktop has no cd port and loaded up the game. When I get to the main screen I get an error "Installation verification failure" and it tells me to try reinstalling the game, then it crashed to desktop. Some searching on Google seems to suggest this is an issue of the launcher, that it does not properly install these old games. (I found some posts suggesting TS3 has the same issue) A workaround seems to be installing it using the cd. I do not own cd reader attachment and I do not feel like buying one simply because EA cannot properly install a game via their launcher. No amount of reinstalling or rebooting of the PC, game or EA launcher seems to fix it. Has anyone else faced this issue and how did you fix it?
I wish the Sims Medieval got another chance
I don't know how many actually know /care about it, but it's got so much potential for a sandbox medieval style Sims game. The original is a quest based game that is really fun, but has so much potential. Any one else things The sims Medieval 2 deserves a chance?

Is it possible to play Sims medieval on Steam - or any other way!
Is it possible to play Sims Medieval on Steam? Or any other way for that matter - I didn't buy it when it came out (had to choose between that and the latest sims EP/stuff packs) but I now have more budget. And a new laptop, but one with no integral disc drive, and I'm seriously not techno-savvy! Any help would be much appreciated. I don't want to play a pirate version, which is all I've found out about so far.Just found Sims Medieval on Origin Sale! Now what?
Hi everyone, looks like hardly anyone plays Sims Medieval but I just happened to see it on Origin on sale half price only for a few more hours, and bought it for $20 (which includes the pirates and nobles one as well) and just got through the tutorial. So I treated it like I do Sims 3, and saved as, instead of overwriting, and then wondered if I need to delete cache files. Are there any mods like NRAAS ones needed? I'm amazed at how smoothly the game runs, and how great the Sims look. And also that I get to hunt, have sword fights, and all sorts of nasty medieval business like putting wrongdoers in the stocks, writing arrest warrants, signing executions etc? Regular Sims could never. But a quick look online about game maintenance didn't show me much. Figured you all would know?Medieval compatible with my computer?
Jumped when every body was getting chrome books. It is non schooling, I.D.K. if schooling chrome books are different. Have never played medieval before, wish that is long term.Version 89.0.4389.116 (Official Build) (64-bit) 14.1GB left, is my system compatible from getting it off Origin? (Thank you @Pamtastic72 for letting me know where to get it, before editing this post I asked for those who wonder.)
