Re: Epic Quests

It's the opposite for me i would play longer if there were more quests per day

  • I meant you will play the game over a longer period of time, not extend your sessions for a longer period of time.

Continued engagement is important for any game, as it pretty much directly correlates with how likely a player is to spend additional money.

Thus, limitations on how quickly something can be obtained keep you coming back over a longer period of time, as you have to wait between cycles to obtain more of the currency.

MMOs do something similar with their end-game gear: you can get so much of the currency used to buy it each week, and then you have to wait for the reset. This is to keep you playing, and potentially paying.

Works the other way for me at the moment i start a game do a quest don't come back till the next day to do the next as there's not anything in this game which makes me want to come back

  • I agree, I've been logging in for a week now, 3 refreshes and not a single Epic quest. Do I stay and play? No, I turn it off and come back a day and a half later. So it does not keep me playing, it turns me away. Annoyed.
