This machine is used as an HTPC when not playing games and has been rock solid in Path of Exile, Minecraft, Torchlight II, and DOTA II.
I tried:
-current ATI Beta drivers
-restored to previous drivers (12.xx) this actually was locking it up, I just didn't play long enough to see it because of the warning message before running the game. I switched up to the newer version as indicated
-removed all drivers with DDU and installed GEFORCE 660
current dxdiag with GEFORCE 660 installed:

The game locks completely randomly. I can sometimes play for 2 complete matches of gnomebombing and sometimes for mere seconds. It will even lock while playing a private single player game of Garden Ops. Checking the reliability, it locked 12x yesterday in between different settings tweaks and hardware changes.
I am really disappointed as I bought two copies of this game to play with my son and it simply isn't playable as is...I don't know what else to try. I believe these are the settings that I am currently using. Tried everything as low as possible just trying to get it to work.
