You could be right, but somehow it feels different. I have not been bothered by the other team being able to see me so much. What bothers me most in this game is that my screen always seems to be full of icons indicating enemy players. They are helpful, but they also take away from the game. There are too many of them and they actually get in the way of playing the game. When there are a lot of enemies off in the distance it is really hard to see them or be able to tell if they are behind a wall or in front of it because you can't actually see the characters moving around, all you see are icons that are obstructing your view of the map and the actual characters.
if the enemy characters locations are revealed because one of your allies can see them then that is not so bad, as long as it is actually because your ally sees them, and not just because your ally is in close proximity to them. What I think could be done a lot better is the way that the enemies location is revealed on the map. I found the icons could obstruct your view in the first game, but they didn't seem to show up as often, so it wasn't as annoying. There must be some way that the location of an enemy can be indicated without obscuring the character itself and overwhelming the screen with icons that are not as nice to look at as the actual game itself.

This isn't call of duty.. Leave it how it is. We don't want campers.
I understand what you are saying, and I agree, camping is no fun. I have been playing the first game a lot over the last week. You can see the location of enemies some of the time, but not nearly as often as in Garden Warfare 2. I have not experienced problems with camping in the first game, even without everyone's location being constantly shown.
Remember, the AI numbers have increased as well... so that may be adding to the number of icons you see. Really depends on the game type you're playing.
That is a good point. It could just be that there are more people in the game. The mode I was playing was Turf Takeover. I really enjoyed Gardens & Graveyards in the first game. So far It doesn't feel as fun in the new game. Overall it just feels too chaotic, and the icons all over the place make it worse. If it is the same as the first game, but there just happens to be more people, maybe they can find a way to provide the same information on screen in a more subtle way so it doesn't obscure your view of things so much.
Hey I absolutely agree with you. The enemy spotting system is way more aggressive in this game compared to the original Garden Warfare. It takes a lot of the strategy away, and just becomes way too chaotic. You're being hit from so many directions at times, since it seems the whole enemy team has eyes on you, and they can see precisely when you are attempting to pop out from cover. And yes, the screen becomes way too cluttered with all these icons as well.
I'm surprised more folks don't find issue with this.
Yes, it is definitely more aggressive. I am glad I am not the only one that has noticed.
Based on some of the comments on here I was starting to doubt myself, so I went back and played a couple of hours on the first one. It was a lot better. I had to actually pay attention, and most often I had to recognize the enemies movements by actually seeing them rather than just following an icon.
In the second game it feels like the game play has devolved into mindlessly aiming at icons and shooting, no strategic thinking necessary. There is no need to pay attention, and almost no chance the enemy is going to catch you off guard, or vice versa.
I hope they tone it down a little. It would be nice if it were more like the first game is when no one is playing boss mode. The enemy would sometimes give away their position, but you had to pay attention to enemy movements visually and couldn't just rely on the icons. I would really like to have the chance to shoot at someone that doesn't have an icon floating over them.
