Re: Deck building

In my case, i create stupid decks for quest. I put in the browser '' Bullseye'' and put all plants with Bullseye, so I do the quest faster... so i have decks for generating extra sun, Anti-Hero, and more... 

But of course i have my ''main'' decks, not for all Heroes, but many... I have a main for: Solar Flare, Knuckles (my fav. hero), Green Shadow and Rose. Others Heroes, I have also created for the remaining ones, but I really have to fix them, because they are not very good ...

In case of zombies I'm worse, I only have a deck for Smash, with the rest I lose every moment XD, I get a little annoyed and I'm running next to the plants 😃

    One of my favourite zombie decks is with Smash. And now that I broke down and used my sparks I have a pair of Nurse Gargantuars, so even if it starts slow I can gain back some of my lost health. Also having a set of Warlords and Secret Agents, I have brought out an 11/11 Nurse!
    That game was crazy because it was vs Wall Knight...so much healing lol. Nice to counter Astro Vera with a "10 health boost" of my own. 😎

    edit. @BlazinsZ I do the exact same thing for gem quests but I garbage the deck right after for what reason I have no idea, but it is the way I am I guess...

    I think most of us have our go to if you will but once I hit ultimate I’ll expirament with different characters and decks. In my experience climbing to 40 is pretty easy but it gets much more challenging after that. I will typically head back to old reliable.

    i started with Magic on the legends expansion set (1994) so i know what you mean. (i also stopped playing magic by 1996 so don't expect to have a conversation about the game after that point lol)

    I have about 5 decks per hero made, usually 3 are themed, 1 is ranked, and 1 changes a lot over time.

    @jaydabbler I don't play anymore either but I lasted for a few years more than you I guess. Early 2000s I came back home from building an extension on jasper hospital for a senior lodge/wing and was gonna go to my cousins and play magic for the weekend. I had a bunch of binders(one for each color and one for artifacts) and as I start going through I began to realize that all my rares were gone!
    One of my roommates or their friends knew what they're doing to only take the rares and I ended up giving away the rest to a couple that owned a card shop.
    I don't recall when they started but the expansion symbol was either black for common, silver for uncommons and gold for rare, so only cards that were saved were the old ones worth a good chunk but nothing in comparison. I would buy usually a box of each expansion on payday in Edmonton which was three boxes every two weeks, so yeah I lost lotta cards 😟
    And that took the wind outta my sails so to speak, and could not get back into the game

    @jaydabbler holy *. legends. OOOOOOOOLD

    I´ve been playing magic for Idk....mabye 10 years? I have been playing since then and accumulated a few ten thousand cards I guess 😞

    I also really like weiss/schwarz but the support/release politics is super crappy for a game with such good potential. 

    Hearthstone is all right but they keep on pushing the random factor ever now and then....I really dislike that.

    There was a magic clone a few years ago which was HEX which had a few very interesting mechanics going on so that happend.

    TCGs are sort of my thing....:/ It also drains my money

    When I was little I liked pokemon better to be honest. I still think it is a great game in itself but compareable to weiss/schwarz it has a fairly limited designspace. even if there were 1000 pokemon they still would have to recycle the same thing over and over again. I like that much better in YGO and especially in MTG

    And from my experience of YGO vs MTG I like MTG better. probably also explains my hate for combo and my dire wish for good removal :D

    Magic hell yea I was playing throughout my whole youth maybe 6 years or so. I try to build for each hero a deck but I prefer Aggro although I have some control decks with professor brainstorm or sun flower. I also built fun decks but all my decks are capable of competing in the 40s and ultimate

    Me too, considering that I graduated from high school the same year mtg started...
    Thats okay though @jaydabbler because it means that we have experience 😎
