Re: Pogo - Free Gems granted to my account

When I logged on to my Pogo account last night, I noticed I had four new messages. When I opened them, it said something about missing gems added to my account. I did not purchase any gems. I will gladly take them, but I don't want another player to have a negative experience due to missing gems that may be in my account. I checked my gem history & everything looks correct except these mystery gems showing up. Not sure if it's a data entry error, bug, or something worse. I also checked my payment information to make sure I didn't accidentally hit a button. So far, so good there also. If the gems need to be removed, I understand. I just wanted to let someone know in case something weird is going on. Can never be too careful these days.

    Hello!

    For the last couple of days Pogo players have reported gems being added to their accounts and receiving messages from Pogo_Spike.

    At this time there has not been an official statement from the Pogo Moderators or the Community Manager Pogo_Sconnie.

    However recently this afternoon there was an alert place at the bottom of the Pogo Homepage:

    Please know you are not alone; hundreds of players have reported this happening in Pogo Forums over the last couple of days. Please watch for updates on Pogo Forums or here on EA Pogo Forums.

  • I get that there was a mistake somehow but making all the gems in my account unusable is unacceptable.  I already had gems and now I can use them.  This is your screw up and if you decide to take back the gems you added I'll be livid if the ones I already had are taken too.

  • I have been trying to find how to report this for 2 days but customer services appear to be non-existent or damn near impossible to find. Ive also had rubies added to my account by mistake and have been wanting to report the issue in case it was an oversight by a pogo employee and i didnt want anyone getting into trouble. Anyway, the rubies are there, untouched and unspent so they can remove them when theyre ready, i just want to be able to use the rubies i do have, that i have won/bought legitimately.

    So how they have it set up is you must select from a topic that fits your question:

    EA Player Help Services - Top Issues

    Then once you find the topic  -  click on Chat with Us and it automatically creates a case number and opens up chat box to speak with Customer Support. 

    The process is a bit confusing and hard to navigate, not all the topics link you to Customer Support. 

    If you ever have a question, you can post it here and the EA Community Mangers or players like myself can also help assist with the process. There is also the Pogo Forums Community, you can post there for questions and concerns.

    All questions regarding account issues, gems, money, etc. must go through Customer Support.

    Sorry for your frustration and I hope this helps a little.

    @heatherm75 i got free gems and said i have 0. then i purchased gems for $10. it says i still have 0 and keep getting an arror note
  • I had the same thing happen. I figured it was a gift for games not working before and spent some of them, now they are gone along with whatever I spent. I wouldn't have used my precious gems! I thought I was using gifted gems.

  • I agree! They can't give you gems then take them away.

    Their fault, they need to put them back!

    I pay for a subscription every year for many years.

  • I also had phantom gems added to my account in the last 24 hours and figured Pogo would get it corrected. BUT WHY HAVE THE GEMS I EARNED AND PURCHASED OVER THE PAST THREE WEEKS BEEN REMOVED????

    I've been robbed!  Please correct this snafu!!

    I highly, highly suggest reviewing your gem transaction history after this gets resolved. That way there will be no confusion on what was actually purchased and spent. I personally did this myself today 😉

    If you or anyone else reading this post needs help on how to view your gem transaction history, we have 2 ways to view them. If you are not aware on how to view them, please ask!

    At the bottom of the Pogo Home Page you can find a link entitled Give Feedback, which allows us to share our thoughts regarding this matter and any other comments you may have.

     

  • Keep an eye on your account.   I had the same thing happen and now I have 200 less than I actually should!

  • i agree 100 percent reactivate my gems or i will be canceling my account soon 

  • SAME THING HAPPEN TO ME TOOK THE GEMS BACK TODAY WIITH NO REASON AT ALL THEY NEED TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER GIVE GEMS THEN TAKE THEM AWAY

  • Oct 8 Pogo added gems to my name I did  not buy gems I have been using the ones I earned from the games I am playing I am not sure what is going on but do not want the headache because of their mistakes.I wished they would get this matter dealt with soon. It is also saying we cannot use our gems on a yellow sticker at the bottom of my pogo home page. If it is not one thing it is something else.

  • When they took their added gems to mine the ones I had were left in my account but it would be nice to use ours if we need to use them

  • @ShaneAz1 I had the same. The thousands Pogo put in my account are now gone but I now can't use the gems I've actually purchased. It allowed me to buy them, i just can't purchase badges or energy for the games with them. I hope it's going to be sorted out soon.
  • I get that there was a big problem with all this gem stuuf but I had 76 this morning and since nothing can be bought with gems my balance should still be 76 but all of a sudden I'm down to 6! Frustrating! First you give out gems then you actually steal the ones we did purchase. That's Bull.
