Surround Sound + Logitech G430

Hi, I'm on a Lenovo Y50, and I use a Logitech G430 Surround Sound Headset. I have a minor but frustrating sound issue. When Surround Sound is enabled, my ingame audio becomes corrupted. It cracks, ingame sound is distorted and at times becomes so twisted that I have to restart the game. It works fine when I turn SS off. Is this a configuration or technical issue?
