Are you using Windows 7
- @lolly1003 That's correct, yes I am.
Download and install Visual C++ files from Microsoft website,
First download and install Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019, restart your PC and launch the game.
If not resolved download and install Visual Studio 2013, restart your PC and launch the game.

- @lolly1003 Thanks for the answer, sadly that didn't fix the issue.
- @Pole_named_Paul Yea man this is extremely annoying. I was waiting all week for this and now I get this stupid msg. Apparently they recently updated their system requirements to Windows 10. I think there are workaround for this for other games but I've tried them and I couldnt get it to work:

Keep me posted and see if you can find a workaround and Ill do the same. Seriously EA.
I wouldn't have bought this game if I saw the requirements was Windows 10. My computer works flawlessly on Win 7 and I'm still about 1 year away from finally migrating to Windows 10. I am not about to risk my PC and all it's stuff just to play this game even though the actual game looks great.
Can someone please get a hotfix for Windows 7 users. There are a lot of Windows 7 users on Steam. Its still the 2nd most popular Windows. This has left a bad taste in my mouth. I was waiting for this all week and now this!!!
I'm also running Windows 7 and encountered this error, but I was able to get the game working by installing ReShade.
I found it through the following page:
https://steamah.com/star-wars-squadrons-how-to-play-on-windows-7/
Just be careful when attempting to download the ReShade installer. I almost clicked on a "WebNavigator" download.
Like the page mentions, I just used the default options when installing for Squadrons. And when get game starts up, use the "Home" key to hide the ReShade bar.
Good luck.
Looks like credit for this fix should go to Id_Hug_You, who appears to have posted this originally!

- @inkwolf77 This worked perfectly, thank you!
I am getting a message telling me I need to log in or have permission to view the page. Since I am logged in, I know it is not that problem. Just to be clear, I too am running Win 7 on PC and can't get the game to run and now I can't even view the fix!
