no choice to remove or not accept double saber attachement???? why???

I dont * understand respawn you made everything customizable except the double bladed attachment on the hilt??? why?? im old school lightsaber hilts look ugly in my opionion as a double bladed lightsaber why is that option not available if players dont want a double blade attachment to their hilt let them this is their story and how they want their hilt they should be able to choose I understand you made mechanics to the combat that make those encounters easier but i dont want it and i definitely dont want another "BUTTHOLE " on the other end of my hilt because now its not my own . please modders out there [ im on PC btw] can you please make a mod to remove the double blade attachment on the hilt please !!!!

This is the equivalent if you had a game where you played as Darth Maul and made the same complaint.  That's the kind of saber he wields, period.  In case you didn't realize, this isn't a "build your own character" RPG game where you get to make choices about the character... this is a set in stone character with set in stone traits.

I can't say anything else without spoiling but it's pretty well laid out in the narrative, roughly mid-game, why he has a double bladed saber.  What you start with is clearly broken on one end - he's always had a double bladed saber just broken to start which you can visibly see at any workbench before getting the upgrade.

Secondly I doubt modders are in any position to start doing things like that right now, especially considering it would break the game for reasons not yet revealed to you.  The game forcibly adds a move to your repertoire later that wouldn't be possible without a double bladed saber.  It's not even optional to get that move or not so any attempt by modders to appease you would flat out break the game.

  • Serious answer here: Dual blade mode is an added gameplay functionality. It's a core element of how Cal behaves as a character in combat, so it's not just a cosmetic element like the saber parts. I totally agree that single blades are more interesting (I dance with a pair of single blades but typically fight with just one) but the dual blade has game mechanic reasons to be a functional part of Cal's loadoutonce acquired.

This is kinda a no brainer, but if you don't want the 2x lightsaber, don't visit Dathomir for it! The only complaint I really have is I wish you could unlearn skills. The attack that changes between single and double drives me nuts. I keep triggering it unknowingly and end up in double mode during a boss fight. Future games I'll just skip that skill.

  • @Gargamel314 it makes you have there are multiple spots that make you get it like Cordova abandoned workshop and the lightsaber table before the fight with a boss on kashykk, so basically its manditory for you to get it on kashykk

"i have no complaints about anything except this"... one little nit picky bit where I prefer the look of a broken saber hilt.

    There, fixed it for ya.

I can think of a few things to complain about, like the hitching, the hours spent exploring only to find cosmetic items, and the holomap not always clearly showing how to connect from one area to another, but seriously dude, this has got to be the most nit picky complaint I've ever seen.

Cal didn't get to choose his lightsaber, and honestly all the customization options are pretty generous, and don't really for with the story. You REALLY shouldn't get to customize until the 2nd half of the game, but they let you customize your lightsaber on every planet. Be thankful for the extra functionality they gave us.

I've cleaned up the thread. Please keep the chats focus on the topic vs sniping each other. It's ok to disagree but when it becomes personal or off-topic everyone involved suffers as does the discussion. Thanks.
