Jedi Fallen Order Can't Swim Down

Product: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Summarize your bug I have retrieved the breather and it instructs me to hold square to swim down, I hold square, nothing happens. It then instructs me to hold x to swim to the surface. Doesn't matter at this point because it WILL NOT SWIM DOWN.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? N/A
What happens when the bug occurs? Cannot swim down. I can no longer play the campaign as it requires me to swim down.
What do you expect to see? To swim down. . .

After retrieving the breather in during the campaign, the "swim down" functionality does not work . . . at all. I can no longer proceed with the campaign.

    I got the same issue here, still in 2021 on PC.
    I changed the button layout, both "swim DOWN" and "swim UP", but nothing happens.
    And I'm still stuck on Zeffo, at the crash site.


    I found an answer where someone explains that "Kashyyyk after meeting Chieftain in Shadowlands. You will get a rebreather to dive. So it's story locked."
    What? Really? It's unbelievable!

    1) Now I can't get out of here if I can't swim, so how can I reach the starship?

    2) I've been to the planet Kashyyyk before, but didn't get the rebreather (and don't know why)

    Help!

    I am also stuck in the wreckage. I can see I need to swim down to get past the pipe but I dont have the breather. Curious how I am going to get out of this one. I came in from the ice slide way above me.

    I'm having a similar problem on Nur, except I can't swim up beyond a certain point, no matter how many times I try and swim up it doesn't work, I'm really disappointed that I can't finish the game. The disc is almost new as it was only opened last week, but the game is just refusing to work. I feel a bit ripped off by EA to be honest.
