Re: Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS One for Xbox One/PS4

Not everyone has the money or space for a desktop computer. And if i already have ps4 pro and a laptop  why would I get a desktop pc just to play a game with a flight stick when they can easily just support the flightstick for consoles like they should in the first place?..

@Silverstreakusa A desktop can cost the same amount as a console. People think all PC owners have top tier hardware but it's simply not the case. Console = proprietary locked down PC. Don't have the space? Put it were your console was and use it the same way

It certainly isn't bad from a cost perspective given you will generally pay less for games as well, the entire thing is partially tax deductible if you do any kind of work and you can actually do other productive things with your investment.  Then you get   to  being  owned  by the console maker, meaning you are  stuck there,  and they  can  bend  you over to pay for subscriptions just to  access  the online portion  of games,  it's  all  a bit ridiculous.  You can also have much better quality and performance for those dollars in most cases.  Remember you also don't need the latest and greatest of hardware, or even brand new for most of the build (you can  start  with  a decent office machine, add a decent  graphics card and  be off to the races).

Also the problems with Windows, and constant upgrades etc is a  bit of an older problem.  I haven't had to do anything to my machine in 3 years, and it still plays everything, pretty much maxxed out (though without RTX, etc).

After seeing what happened to the price of racing wheels when consoles got involved, I personally hope HOTAS on console never takes off.  Prices more than doubled (and existing features were removed) just to put an XBone/PS* logo on the box and change the symbols on the buttons.

  • Enough of the PC Master Race nonsense.

As can be seen in the topic this thread does not concern PC players in the least, and given that this is game will support cross platform play, it is entirely within reason that there should be HOTAS support for this game on consoles as well.

I was hoping for an official response to this thread by now, not some off-topic "just get a PC" replies.

  • @jasonh1234 That sounds like grain of salt kind of information.

However, I specifically mentioned the T-Flight because it's supported on all the platforms that this game can be played on, so there is still some hope that at the very least this stick could still be a go.
