If anyone is interested, i've fixed it using Vjoy and and Joystick Gremlin.
The game detected the Vjoy input so i could assign an axis to it. In this case my rudder pedals.
First install Vjoy: i didn't do anything here particular.
Then installed Joystick Gremlin(JG): it detected all my peripherals, didn't do anything special here.
Hit the activate button(the controller pad icon in JG, booted up the game and the Vjoy got detected. Now i could assign my yaw to that axis and it worked.
Now fix that bloody deadzone issue!
Hope this helps for everybody who's having the same issues i had.
Cheers!
- @Scar_Wardjinn I did this. Thanks for the tip! However after using this to get the rudder recognized, I'm finding that some of my joystick buttons are no longer recognized in game - only 3 of 4 hat switch directions are recognized, for example. Have you seen anything similar to this when troubleshooting your rudder issues?
You're welcome!
I didn't set up anything within Vjoy and Joystick Gremlin. I just installed it, never even opened Vjoy, ran JG and clicked on the activation icon.
That's all i did. All my buttons are working fine though. I use the Thrustmaster Warthog and VKB T-Rudders.
What joystick/Hotas you use?
See attachment, this is a standard configuration i think. Hope it helps.
