Mouse and keyboard not working

Same issue. Although I can use a gamepad fine. Have unplugged gamepad and rebooted the computer to see if it would work that way. Still won't. Applied the most recent update a few hours ago before last attempt.

Tried a complete reinstall but that didnt work either

I am also experiencing this.

The first time the game launched after a fresh download and install (midnight EST) the game started with the keyboard working but the mouse is locked into the center of the screen. I ended the task (launched task manager and used the keyboard to end the game's task) and the mouse hook was still in place, preventing me from being able to use the mouse even on my desktop. It wasnt until I ended Origin's task that the mouse was freed up again. I've rebooted a bunch of times and changed display settings (updated to latest drivers, turned off all but one monitor too.. who knows if that would help or not) and that doesn't appear to help.

Basically, the keyboard works about 30% of the time (Enter key works fine) and the mouse 0% of the time. Interestingly, my XBox One controller works and I can play the game this way, but playing on a controller is a horrible experience and makes me want to swallow a light-saber (PC MASTER RACE!)...

Thoughts?

On quick update -

I rebooted my PC, disabled every program running in my task tray (Steam, Multiplicity, Adobe Creative Suite, Cisco AnyConnect, Autodesk Desktop App, VM Ware Backup, DropBox, Chrome). Then I launched Battlefront 2 and the keyboard mouse worked again for about 45 minutes (was able to play online a few matches and than also the start of the campaign.

Than randomly, my mouse locked to the center screen as it had done before and the only mouse button that would work was the left button (this was while playing in the campaign mode). I managed to close Battlefront 2 but my mouse was still locked to the center of the screen. I only managed to get the mouse back once I launched task manager and ended Origin's task (Alt+E).

Seems like part of the issue here is Origin itself may not properly releasing the mouse/keyboard hooks and that it's doing something funky in the background that the game doesn't know what to do. Very odd.

At this point, I really can't play until something is done to fix this issue... :/

I wouldn't be surprised if it is an issue with the game, tbh, had some weird mouse issues in the first one. But I'm curious. Since it comes back after a set amount of time.. have you tried ctrl-shift-esc, More details and check if there's anything in Background Processes you don't need and can temporarily kill?

And disable all your aimbots, of course 😉 (j/k)

I've also noticed it does not make a difference if DX12 is enabled or not.

Another tidbit of information is my mouse and keyboard no longer work for Mass Effect Andromeda either, but they do work for Star Wars Battlefront I.

SOLVED:

I had TeamViewer running as well. Quit the program from the notification area and could use the mouse and keyboard.

It fixed the issue with ME Andromeda as well.

Sorry for the delay on the latest update. I was able to actually play for about 5 hours yesterday after I posted my last reply without any issues what so ever. After I was done playing, I was casually using my computer (doing the YouTube circuit) for about an hour than all of a sudden my mouse / keyboard started acting up (none responsive, lagging, and stuttering heavily - barely could use my mouse at all). I managed to get Task Manager opened and since Origin was still running in the background (but BF2 was not), I ended it's task. Immediately after killing Origin my system became responsive again.

Very odd stuff... The good news though is things seem to be working again for me. I'll post again if I find anything else out.
