Re: Half black and white screen

Hi, if you go to your Origin Games\STAR WARS Battlefront II folder you'll see a file named starwarsbattlefrontii.exe. Please delete this.

If you played the trial before launch you'll also see a starwarsbattlefrontii_trial.exe, so delete this too.

Now in your Origin library, right-click the game panel and choose the Repair option. This should take about 5-10 mins but once this completes you should be back up and running.

Sorry for any frustration caused and hopefully these steps help. A reinstall can also work, but this method should be much faster.

I reinstalledbefore I saw this and it worked. Thankfully I have good internet so it didnt take too long. Thanks for reply, hopefully it works for all 🙂

  • Doesn't work for me... deleted the EXE files and then it wouldn't give me the repair option - only a reinstall option.  I did that and it didn't' work.  So I fully uninstalled the game AND origin.  After reinstalling both, the game still gives me a half white and black screen.  Also deleted the settings folder in my documents, stopped Origin from being accessed in-game, and added -novid to the startup... still half white/black screen after the initial splash screen.  Any help is appreciated.  Running windows 10 on an HP spectre with i7 intel.

  • I tried this and it doesn't work.  I deleted both EXE files, repaired, and also did a full reinstall and every time I get a half white/black screen just after the splash screen.  I've also brought my launch settings to their most basic level, disabled almost everything running in the background, deleted the settings folder, etc.  Any other suggestions... haven't been able to play the game since day 1 and it's getting a little frustrating at this point.

  • Still doesn't work... haven't been able to play the game since I bought it.  I've got windows 10 and have done everything here.  Any other suggestions?

  • Well... [curse word removed] david... this is sucking big time.  Still no fix and no word on how to resolve this.  I've uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted the trial and regular exe files... nothing has worked.  What's the deal.
