First Koboh tar pit balls dont spawn

Summarize your bug In the first Koboh tar pit the exploding balls dont spawn in so i am completely stuck. i have loaded a save for the same thing to happen
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? when going into the first tar pit if the balls arnt there the bug has occured
What happens when the bug occurs? balls dont spawn in leaving me stuck
What do you expect to see? the balls floating on the tar, i can exampine the balls like they are there but they are not

This leaves the game unplayable and im not prepared to restart the game with the chance this might happen again. I have read that this has happened to other people
