Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Unsure how to replicate as it started occurring after my game updated. I ran through the area completely fine until the game crashed. I installed the newest update and started the area over again from the last save. I started encountering problems after that.

If this helps, my experience was the same in that I ran through the area and actually completed it, got to the top to pick up the force upgrade, then jumped back down to grab the orb to toss it up to the top to place it in the middle holder to bring it outside. My game crashed as I was tossing the orb (crash was reported through my console). Upon reopening the game, I used a glider to move over the lava, defeated the Droid, and heard BD's sound, notifying me of an area to scan. But the option to scan will not pop-up. I decided to move past it, completed the area again (used BDs new ability to gain the collectibles in the area) then jumped back through the water to move the orb. Only it did not respond to force pull command. I reset the game and moved to the area for a 3rd time.

I was able to progress after the reset.
