Re: Error code 201

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm still getting it after the new patch. I know that patch didn't say anything about fixing it, but I figured if EA is making constant errors unintentionally maybe they could fix it unintentionally too. It'd be nice to get any news about this problem as I do really want to enjoy this game. I have a lot of fun in HvV with Iden until I get 201'd halfway through the match.

    Yeah, was thinking the same, maybe they would unintentionally fix it. Thought I would give jet pack cargo a go, kicked in 30 seconds.

    Is there any update/information you can give us yet? It's insane how long this problem has gone on and it's infuriating to get 80% of the way through a hard fought HvV or GA just to get yanked back to the menu. I'm trying to fight this problem because for some reason I'm stupid enough to like this game, but I don't know how much longer I can put up with it before I start arguing for a refund.

    Hello everyone! 

    I have been chasing this issue and error code (201) for a while and I got it confirmed from the developers that this issue is related to connection interruptions from outside our servers and that can be ISP, network routing at home or outside home, network equipment, connection, firewall settings, ports, anything that handles or use network connections coming to our servers. 

    What I can suggested for anyone that have this issue is to follow the troubleshooting steps that we have and if that don't work talk to your ISP for more investigations.

    This has probably been suggested already (didn't read all the previous posts), but try changing your server region in the settings.

    It should default to the lowest ping, but try changing it to another (close) region and see if the problem persists.  Probably won't help (and if it does, you might be trading the disconnect for more lag), but at least it would give some more info about the issue.

    This is your best shot after 5 months?What a joke of an answer,then why is not happening in any other online games?What a coincidence that all of us get kicked playing this game,must be EA servers or the ones EA rent to another company’s since Battlefront 2 don’t have speficic servers.I promise to not post here anymore cuz is worthless but I just see the answer EA_Atic post and just make even more mad!!They send us to troubleshooting......they must think we are completely *.* YOU EA fix your servers!!!!

  • EA listen you * its still happening. im sick of having amazing games to be kicked for no reason. my internet is fine. I dont want to call up, wait 30 minutes just to have some random indian give me the basic instructions of troubleshooting which of course i've tried. * hell.

  • Hey all.

    I'm extremely frustrated with an issue I have been having with Battlefront 2 lately. I keep getting error code 201 every other time I play a match (mostly Capital Supremacy). I have tried every single fix I could find online; I have a wired very fast connection and whenever I'm in game the game runs very smoothly then after 5-10 minutes I get booted out of the match with error code 201, my party chat on Xbox One disconnects as well, so idk if this is a Battlefront 2 issue only. I have 0% packet loss, Open NAT type, iPv4 and iPv6, and have port forwarded all of Xbox and Battlefront 2 ports, I have no idea why this happens to me and no one else, and it's really pissing me off. I've also tried clearing my MAC address as an EA rep told me to do, but of course, that did nothing.

  • During this mornings play I seem to be losing connectivity to the EA servers, crashing out of the round back to the main screen. Seen erratic behaviour for the last 1 to 1 1/2 hours. example - starfighters ' jumping ' to different locations.

    Are there temporary problems at EA or is there some essential back-office maintenance ongoing ?

    Non EA games are AOK as is Internet Browsing ….so that would lead me to believe its not a local issue ?

  • I'm not sure the current problem and the issues described early in this thread are identical?

    I have experienced problems today (between 20.15 and 20.30 hrs UK time). Problems IN SFA and strike. Seeing translations to different locations within the game and crashes back to the menu. I see other threads saying something similar.

    So has EA a current server/back office issue? In the mean time I'm off to play a game that works OK.

  • I'm guessing EA are no longer reading this thread ? Today SWBF crashed in SFA and Extraction. I am at a loss as to what I can do this end. So I am giving it a couple more goes and then I will consider abandoning the game.☹️

  • If they did it will probably be fixed but seeing from 2017 up till now people are still facing this issue i think they just gave up

  • @EA_Atic The thing is it's not on my end Everything else I play thats an online game is fine but it seems that Battlefront 2 just doesn't like me playing online, Is there ever going to be a fix?
  • @ZakW078 i found a temporal solution, i found that you have to open some sort of ports, you can check it in this link (https://help.ea.com/es-es/help/faq/opening-tcp-or-udp-ports-for-connection-issues/#battlefront).
    After opening the ports that day, i had a great experience playing this game, i had no lag nor kick out, but, when i played the game the next day it did not work anymore, so the solution might be there. Also i want to add that the range of ports TCP 3478-3480 are not valid, so yep that, hope you guys can help me fix this problem.
