Re: Star Wars Battlefront 2 BSOD
Your specs as noted:

MSI Geforce GTX 1050
AMD Athlon X4 860K quad Core CPU

1TB Hard Drive
450W Corsair Power Supply
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
OS: 64-bit Windows 7 SP1/Windows 8.1/Windows 10
Processor (AMD): AMD FX 6350
Processor (Intel): Intel Core i5 6600K
Memory: 8GB RAM
Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2GB
Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 660 2GB
DirectX: 11 Compatible video card or equivalent
Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
Hard-drive space: 60GB
Now, I'm no PC master. IF anyone knows more then me please take over. But looking at charts I'd have to say the CPU you currently have is lower in benchmarks then a Intel Core i5-3570K @ 3.40GHz. Since it is running at 95 W and you have a 450 w PSU (Power supply unit) It might be whats causing the BSOD?
If not follow these steps to help the fatal blue screen of death:
A lot of players have reported that the game is constantly crashing and some have reported black screens. Let’s focus on the crashing issue of Star Wars Battlefront 2.
The first solution is to try running the game as Admin. Just right click on the game’s exe file and select “Properties” and go to the “Compatibility” tab and here select the “Run as Administrator” option and apply. This should resolve the issue.
Another solution is to move the game’s folder to the Desktop, then restart your PC and start the Origins’ repair tool.
Another solution to fix the crashing issue is to press “Windows key + R” and type %ProgramData% and press enter. Open the origin folder and delete all files and folders except for “LocalContent”. Now again press “Windows key + R” and type %AppData% and press enter. Delete the Origin folder in the window that opens up.
Now click on the “AppData” at the top of your window and open up the “Local” folder. Delete the Origin folder here and restart the PC. This should resolve the issue.
Furthermore, if you are using DirectX 12 then disable it in the settings and use the DirectX 11 as 12 can also cause the game to crash.
Have you recently gotten a new Graphics card? If so this might be of help: how-to-perform-a-clean-installation-of-your-graphics-driver
Are your drivers up-to date?
At what point do you feel the game crashes? Under extreme moments with a high amount of on-screen stuff say-so a lot of explosions that might cause extreme stress for your PC?
Trouble Shooting to prevent the crashes:
* DirectX 12 will cause unstable game play performance and lead to crashes if not using the correct driver that supports this.
Question: I’m using Direct X 12 and I’m seeing some performance issues, what should I do?
EA's Answer: We’re aware that some players using Direct X 12 may see micro-stuttering or other performance issues. While we’re working on a fix for this, we recommend that you change your settings to use DirectX 11 instead.
Here’s how:
In-game, go to the Home screen.
Click Options, then Video.
Scroll to Enable DirectX 12 and toggle the switch to Off.
Restart the game to apply the change.
* Incorrect Resolution of your monitor
NOTE: If you have dual GPUS, and you’re using DirectX 12, we recommend switching back to DirectX 11 until we have a fix for the performance issues.
We’ll update here when you’re good to switch back to DirectX 12 again.
Question: I’m using AMD Eyefinity and I’m getting a black screen
EA's Answer: We’ve had reports of some performance issues with Eyefinity in Star Wars Battlefront II, and we’re working on resolving them. In the meantime, we’d advise against using Eyefinity when you play. We’ll update here as soon as we have a workaround or a fix for you.
Question: I’m using an AMD graphics card with the latest drivers, and Lightsabers are invisible. How can I fix this?
EA's Answer: This is a graphical bug, and we’re working on it. We’ll let you know when it’s fixed.
* Full-screen mode (Try to go into Windowed/Border-less mode to see if this is may increase any issues)
Here’s how:
In-game, go to the Home screen.
Click Options, then Video.
Scroll to Full-screen mode and toggle the switch to Border-less.
No restart is needed for this option.
* Other application's are open on your system, (mind you, if you use google chrome, it takes up a lot of memory if multiple tabs are open at once)
Here’s how:
Use the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keyboard shortcut out of game to open your Task manager and force close applications you are not using at the time.
* Outdated Graphics Drivers
* Certain maps
This... Yes, frown apon this one. Some maps are known still to cause game-play performance issues. If you find yourself lagging on the following: Crait, Yavin 4 & Kashyyyk (Correct me if I'm missing any), If these are the maps you find yourself lagging/stuttering in, Do not curse at the specs you have.
Again, these are my personal issues that I have ran into, if you these do not help you try enabling vSync, if you don't know what it is Short for it takes for Vertical Sync, Vsync is a display option found in some 3-D computer games that allow the gamer to synchronize the frame rate of the game with the monitor refresh rate for better stability and little to know stuttering.
If this also doesn't help resolve your issue, please follow EA's official guide to help you:
