@UAR777  Does mounting work if you reset the key bindings to defaults?  Even if you don't want to play that way going forward, it's worth testing.

I think you're just supposed to use the Interact key to mount a Nekko, not the Force key.  (The Force key is necessary when taming an animal, but not when mounting.)  It sounds like Cal is actually using Wrenching Pull when you click 1, which is its own issue covered here:
