Strange Bttlefront 2 1.18 size

I don't know if this was intentional or not, but me and a bunch of friends I know had to clear a bunch of data off our PS4 to be able to download Battlefront II's 1.18 update. I had like 60 Gigs or more of free space, and this puny update (Ended up being around just over 6 MEGABYTES) wanted me to have 80 GIGS of Free space. Granted, the update didn't max out my Playstation's data storage or whatnot, but I just don't want to continue doing this, because I either have to delete games that I don't play often but like to play them, or spend hours porting videos off my console to make space.

Does anyone know why this update, which wasn't even a full Gigabyte, wanted 80 gigabytes of free storage? No one has complained about stuff like this since May.

    Hey @SargeanTravis

The 1.18 patch on PS4 was estimated to be around 650MB. However, I had to download at least 1GB of data on my console.

Can I ask if you have a physical or digital version of SWB2? Have you tried to redownload the game itself? I know the base game is around 53GB. With the updates it should not exceed the 60GB. And if you have the digital copy, you'll download the most recent version of the game anyway.

I had a physical copy. The weird glitch happened on another patch (I don't know which one) sometime after the one I reported, but it didn't occur during the Grievous Update, which had installed itself when I wasn't online.

Of course, the update wasn't actually 60GB, my Playstation forced me to delete 60 GB of data to let the thing install.
