Battlefront 2 doesn't pick up Xbox controller

I have recently moved to college and I have downloaded Battlefront II to my gaming PC. I don't play with keyboard and mouse so I decided to plug in my Xbox controller. The game won't even pick up that my Xbox controller is plugged in. I had tried this with other games such as rocket league and it works perfectly so I know it isn't the controller itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey @Phantom1220  do you have any overlay active while trying to play with controller? 

    If yes, turn them off and try to play.

    @EA_Atic I have this issue too, i tried to use the live chat but i got disconnected and option for a live chat dissapeared... Im using a pdp afterglow controller licensed by xbox, i have disabled all overlays, any other suggestions?
