What's up with these "perfect aim" Specialists?

They have to be cheating, right? But I play on the PS4 and I still don't get how you can cheat.

And these players have absolute 100% perfect aim every single shot. Never miss.

I'm around rank 850 or so Specialist, so I have some skill. But I'm a 50 year old gamer, and most likely dont' have my controller settings super fine tuned.

And just have no clue how these players do it. Every shot. Every game. Never miss. Headshot after headshot.

But hey, at least they are playing infantry, and not spamming the rocket troopers, right?

  • @grrr33nflashIt's also possible that they have the better internet connection and actually fired more than one shot at you but the server didn't translate this for you.

Also for HvH saber hero play, the difference to opposing someone with the better connection is noticeable. In comparison with someone on par to you (connection-wise) it seems to be impossible to counter the movement of such players as they always seem to be at least one step ahead of you.

The fact that we play on these lag-servers creates another gap between these two types of players.

For soldiers I think it becomes obvious when you normally have no problems to kill people but it's always the same few you have no chance against and are dead just by looking at them.

Means with the same feeling of them being ahead of you regarding the server information.

Oh yeah, then there are these tryhards that really do never miss. Often combined with a great connection because else being competitive wouldn't be that rewarding.

  • @grrr33nflash There are just some people who just have god like aim, I’ve recently tried to get better at specialist because my aim is pretty meh at the moment.
  • This is a late reply, but the reason for this is mostly the casual nature of this game and the way the super strong aim assist auto locks on when you ads. If you actually put the crosshair just above a players head, then quickscope in and fire the aim assist will auto lock to there head and they will die. It's a bit jammy, but if you learn to abuse this feature you basically end up with what you describe. In some cases aim assist actually fights against you when playing sniper, such as moving targets. Sometimes I feel like turning it off, but the auto lock aim assist is too good not to abuse.

So for those players that think that guy has amazing aim, know that the aim assist in this game is bs and the game kind of aims for you.

    Skill

I'm ok at being a sniper

But not great at close quarters with them

  • @grrr33nflash While I wouldn't doubt for a minute there's a lot of people out there with aimbots, I've come to accept that most players of this and every other game are simply much better than I am and actually are that good.
  • I have to admit that while I'm not the best player on the field by any means, I'm not the worst either, and I've had my share of matches when I have that "perfect aim" Mojo going on.

It's definitely not every game, and some games I have the aim of a Stormtrooper, but some games my controller is just working right, and I can 1 shot with the best of them.

Usually only lasts a match or two, then quickly vanishes, but I've been in that Specialist Zone and it's super crazy fun
