Yes, these events are still in place. The problem and the question I was wondering is that often, and I saw another recent topic or someone was talking about it, the xp bonus is displayed at the end of the game, but it doesn't seem to be active.
The xp is neither doubled (Weekend) nor tripled (Wednesdays) in the mornings !
I saw it again yesterday. Inactive in the morning when I played, active in the afternoon. That's why I wanted to know if there was a start time, a specific time, or not.
Otherwise, the system is kinda * up and not working properly (to be fair).
I would also like to specify that I live in France. I don't think that's the case but if the event is set on US timetables, it could explain this delay.

my guess is, it have something to do with time zones. but I do not know.
it's only been a few times. I have play this game in 2021.
just did a game right now. and doubled xp, was on for me.
Yes, I did Starfighter Assault mode and CO-OP mode and 2XP worked for me.
But it takes a little time for reflecting in my main menu stats. 🤔
... And sometimes, for some reasons(time zone? bug?), I heard that some players don't get the 2XP/3XP.
So I feel you. That might happen.
