Re: Servers shut down

Given that Battlefield 3 servers are still running on PS3, Xbox, and PC, I'd say you don't have anything to worry about.  Battlefield 3 is almost 10 years old.  Battlefield 4 servers are alive and well with an active community.  That game is almost 7 years old.  It all depends on how many people continue to play Battlefront 2.  I think it will continue to have a strong player base at least until another Battlefront game comes out, if it ever does.

My guess is minimum 5 more years if not longer for the servers to be active.  I don't see fans shelving this game anytime soon.  Even if Battlefront 3 happens, it's not likely for at least 2-3 more years given that DICE seems to have prioritized the next Battlefield for 2021.
