I installed Sims Freeplay to my Galaxy S3, then used Bluetooth to manually transfer all of the (hidden) data files from the 450 MB download you must perform the first time you successfuly start Sims.
With the data files in place on the tablet, I no longer get error 17, and the game starts as normal. Unfortunately, only the UI is visible. The intro pan over the town, all player textures in character creation, and the house itself is black. This is even after confirming multiple times that the textures are in the right places.
In short, error 17 probably means a device is incompatible, maybe the graphics driver in this case. Have to wait for a patch. Could eaursula please pass this on to the devs, or at least let them know the game doesn't work on a Note 10.1 2014?
- Anonymous12 years agoI tried doing the same before but didn't have any luck either.
- Anonymous12 years agoI have submitted a ticket #13834 with firemonkeys several weeks ago and have not received a reply from them either. Eaursula, is this site only really set up for game play hints or is this a proper venue to get support?
