Community Admin@onemoredenise Hi, The Sims 2 precedes out digital system, so the codes aren't recognised.
If you reach out to support they should be able to convert your disc copy of the game to a digital version, you should hopefully have no further issues.

@T_Michellyyyy , if you look at the date of the original post, it was 4 years ago. Digital code support for Sims 2 Ultimate Collection ended October 2018 and the game is no longer available for purchase or for free by using your original CD codes on Origin. If you have an external disk drive and the original disks, the game will run on Windows 10. If you play on a Mac, the Apple App Store has the Sims 2 Super Collection which includes all of the Sims 2 EPs and SPs that were ported to the Mac OS.
EA is very aware of the Sims Community wanting to have the game remastered to run on newer computers, but they made the decision to focus their time and resources on other projects.
I'm sorry you missed the original giveaway prior to October 2018.

How do you know they are aware? Do you have some sort of off-forum communication with the ones responsible for The Sims 2?

@DonroaAkashu , I have passed on this information, but there are responses back from EA Community Managers in other similar threads that say something similar. it is up to EA/Maxis to do what they wish with the information.
Also, I was very active on the Official Forums as a helper for Sims 3 & 4 in the Mac section before the move here to AHQ and saw hundreds of threads/responses in the similar section there devoted to Older Sims titles asking for EA to remaster the game. Same here there are hundreds of threads asking the same or similar questions.

As a thanks for their engagement and to better help provide solutions, Champions and Heroes do have access to communication with Answers HQ community teams so issues can be escalated faster, we do use Slack to facilitate this but Heroes and Champions are not and have never been considered EA employees.
