The Sims Medieval sudden graphics glitch

I've been playing the game for months and everything was fine. However suddenly something happened to the graphics and I can't figure out how to fix it. Origin repair did nothing. Reinstalling the game also didn't help.

I've updated everything I could find on my computer and everything seems to be in order but the game still looks weird.

Everything is brown/black and unless I mess around with the game settings, the only thing I can see are the bubbles. Changing the settings makes the outlines of buildings visible but everything is still this weird brownish colour.

What happened? How do I fix this?

  • @arecaceaepalmae , try deleting the Options.ini file found in Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims Medieval. Don't delete your trash after removing this from the game. It sounds like something was corrupted in your Options file and deleting the Options.ini should reset all of you your game options. Your saves will be fine.

See if this fixes your problems.
