I also seem to have this issue. I only noticed it after the seasons update, but every time my sims or pet has a thought a thumbs down sign pops up over their actual thought. I attached a screenshot of my dog with the leash thought bubble being overlapped by a thumbs down thought bubble. This happens every time he has a thought so I can't tell what he needs most of the time.
getting similar off and on here. all my sims, including the pets, were getting a puddle image over every thought/speech bubble they had, and getting bubble pop-ups at a much more frequent rate than usual. there was one puddle on my lot, outside, next to a sprinkler. luckily, one sim is neat and could mop puddles even on the grass and the puddle version went away, to be replaced with a thumbs up symbol the next sim day.
I’m also getting the excessive hand/pillow, perhaps others, most noticible when guests leave my restaurant after eating and when I close down the place for the night. Has anyone else been seeing thought bubbles through floors, objects, and walls? It started a few months before Pets, but maybe it’s my graphics as I play on a Retina MacBook Pro.
Yup, I see lots of papers in a tray thought bubbles as well.
