Re: TOO MANY PROXIES FOR DATATABLE DT_BASEPLAYER

Just watched my recording from last night. I started part way through the first match, finished a complete match and then 3/4 of the way through the 3rd game is when it crashed and then continued again for another 20 minutes until I gave up. Posting on Twitter on EA's feed didn't do anything either. Posting messages on TF Legends channel on YouTube too to see if anyone is paying attention to get the word out. I'm not going to give up yet. No proxy errors last night, just crashes before the match would start, just like before.

Same was happening to me last night, after the timer started counting down the game would just crash, no error message.
Sometimes the hacker's name IIIIIIIII would appear first then the game would crash.

Im just keeping the game on my pc out of curiosity to see what happens next.

Usually i carry on with other things while leaving Titanfall on.

You can tell by the number of players whether the hacker is active.

Not really any way to tell for sure but looking at the player count can sometimes give you a clue? If there are 20 or more players, it's a good sign that it 'may' be working?  ( 3 ) players world wide - probably not so much.

I heard today from another you tuber that Titanfall 2 is also being brought down by this hacking clown, i am downlaoding it again now to see if this is true.

In the meantime TF1 was working as of 15 minutes ago, but there are 2 smart pistol speed hackers in there ruining the game.

I have also found the names of 3 prominent you tube channels that i am going to try to contact the owners of to relate the story to.

Maybe with their clout something may get done by EA.

I did not want to put any links or names on here but have put the prominent you tube channel names in the comments of your video (image*works*one) with the ransom demand.

Tried TF2 after re-installing it on my pc, no sign of any issues tonight, seems to be working fine.

TF1 was working tonight at around 9pm (UK time) 29 April but had 2 speed hackers using sp, both with identical names.

I have tried to pass this story on to some high profile gaming you tubers to see if they can help to get the story out there and force EA to do something.

Yeah, no luck for me tonight. Saw a couple new players in Campaign and warned them about what is going on. It's a shame they are still selling and no one can play a game. Especially feel sorry for the ones that just paid $$. Good one Origin. Keep selling. Good one EA. Keep not replying or fixing the issue. Have not seen the 'Database blah blah' error since last week. Just crashing now........Not going to re-install. Not going to work anyway.

    the scam continues...

EA robbers !! , i wonder how would be working in the "support" plataform and get paid for doing nothing .. must be a great feeling..

  • I took to Twitter again last night and this was the reply I got......and my responses. I'll keep you posted if they say anything else.

well done buddy , but sadly they are following the "protocol" that we all already know , and doing nothing , hopefully this problem will be well known , and eventually public , and they stop selling the game and scamming people.

    EA/Respawn/Whom it may concern:

We've found a workaround that allows full match play. It requires (at this time) timing and coordination between 4, 6+6, or 8+8 players.

I suspect I know how the crasher works as I'm somewhat familiar with source engine modding, but I'd need logs to verify exactly what's occurring.

Ideally TF1 would be open sourced and/or release dedicated server binaries/installers/containers/whatever so we can run our our dedicated servers with anticheat/adminmod/metamod anti cheat protections. I'd gladly run a couple from my basement where I already run L4D2 and CS:GO dedicated servers.

EA/Respawn/whoever has control over these servers - Please contact me directly for the details - here's our proof of concept we ran yesterday:

    Thanks,

    Your Friendly Neighborhood FrostySn0men

  • It's been awhile since my turbo gun game dev days (I was working on a much faster version that was straight mod and didn't use mattie's scripts (instant gun transition, etc).. but...

If I remember correctly, this is where you'd need to look:

    https://github.com/ValveSoftware/source-sdk-2013/blob/master/mp/src/game/server/player.cpp#L7500

The crasher is using an illegal player name - I've verified this by intentionally loading lobbies with many spaces open and waiting. very long name of what looks like unprintable characters.

This would not take a dev familiar with TF1 very long to fix. You'd save yourself a huge publicity nightmare and make a lot of people very happy.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Your Friendly Neighorhood FrostySn0men

thanks man for doing all this effort to fix this awesome game ruined by a mediocre support.

hopefully they listen to you , after all you are doing their dirty job , now what its left to do its almost clear.

🤖 our titans are waiting to be deployed!

  • Thank you for your efforts, Frosty. But EA has no interest in fixing the server. Your suggestions and good advice are so much appreciated that they will at most remove your comment from the topic. And for a week or two, or even a month, they will be banned from the forum. Unfortunately, this is a common practice among helpdesk users. They will not repair TF1 themselves. We have been trying to help EA for over a year. Thanks, everyone was silenced in their own forums. These are sad facts and unfortunately true. Any thread about the TF1 hacker verifies that the topic has not been deleted or locked. Unfortunately, your efforts are in vain. We have a saying to this. From a dog, there will never be bacon! Please accept my thanks on behalf of the TF1 community, but unfortunately it won't work.

@RUFFSTUFF138 So they actually ban people here for speaking out? Rather than that cheater for over a year?

Yeah, they especially have a hard spot when you remind the admins that they are not doing anything that benefits the people who paid for the game. The irony of getting banned from the forum for the game that is 100% unplayable is not lost on me...

Verifiable proof has been posted here and subsequently deleted by the admins. That includes videos and links. Just look through the threads and see for yourself...

  • Yeah, they have banned me more than once for speaking up and posting what happens in game online. I don't get how they call themselves  'Support' ?
