Re: Titanfall 2 crashing with ReadPacketEntities: Failed error message
Hi, Mako -
I'm sorry - but "We're looking into it" - at this point to the Titanfall community, is completely pointless. I was one of two volunteer moderators for the official Respawn Titanfall 2 forums, and we got a lot of lip service about things, and then nothing would get done. People would come to the official forums and ask questions and whatnot and were completely ignored by people at Respawn that would rather spend their time looking at gifs and memes on Reddit. In fact, Respawn was promising more Titanfall 2 content and claiming to be working on Titanfall 3 up until just after Apex Legends was launched.
Titanfall 1 has been unplayable for years. Titanfall 2 has been unplayable for most of 2021. Yet EA is still selling the games. Yet they claim to devote just two people to fix this issue, and yet here we are, months later, and nothing has been done.
You're right. It's aggravating. It's more than just that. As someone like myself, who's been a Titanfall fan since day 1 of the original Titanfall's launch - it's insulting. It's maddening. Speaking as more of a customer than a Titanfall fan - I bought Skate or Die when it came out in 1982. I've been buying EA games since then. I have bought them for my children and grandchildren. I will not do that anymore. I played Battlefield competitively through Battlefield 3 & 4 when they stopped renting servers out, so the amateur scene on the PC dried up.
This is more than just Titanfall - but Titanfall is, by far, the biggest boil to be lanced. IMHO - your company either needs to completely fix both Titanfall server systems, and protect them from this ever happening again, or stop selling it and refund everyone who's bought Titanfall since about 2016, and Titanfall 2 since March of 2021. I'm seriously surprised there hasn't been some sort of class action lawsuit yet.
Obviously - I'd much prefer the servers get fixed so we can play this game, and we get more Titanfall content other than a silly BR game called Apex Legends. Not all of us like that.
