@Sketch793 Is this something new or something that has always been this way aka, did you ever made 2nd or 3rd and got money ?
I haven't tested and bit unsure but from what you say, it doesn't give the actual names and you just think you must be 2nd or 3rd because of the number of Sims you see hacking ?
It's always been this way as far as I know but I can't be sure because I wasn't looking for it when City Living came out. It's definitely been this way for several months though. I wanted to be sure before I posted a report about it.
The name of the winner is given but names are not given for second or third place. I know that I made second or third place because there were only two or three contestants, including my sim and the winner. As I said above, it's quite easy to see who takes part in the Hackathon and keep count.
I should add that it's best to test this with a sim who low Programming skill or none at all.
It seems like the 2nd and 3rd prices are just for show and don't actually exist? I just got 68/100 and lost to a sim that got 69/100, I doubt anyone else got 2nd or 3rd...
I also have this issue, won 1st prize computer but never got it. There is no way to contact EA to report the bug.
I've been playing City Living since it came out and I have never seen second or third prize awarded. A new thing I'm encountering now is that no winner is ever announced at all, but that may be one of the mods I have installed.
