Re: Sims Not Following Dress Code for Venues and Parties

In which venues has this happened for you?

The venues are lounges and nightclubs.

What kind of parties were your Sims' celebrating?

Any party with a dress code.  It even occurs when my Sim is invited to dance parties.

Does it happen when you have a party at home as well, or only when the party is hosted somewhere else?

Both

Does it happen for all the Sims or just some of them?

Some of the Sims.

Which age are the Sims that are not wearing the proper outfits?

It usually happens with adults, young adults, and elders.

I believe it started happening when I installed Seasons.

@EA_Mai I went through all the clothing threads I could find related to the issues with clothing in the game.  After reviewing the threads, it seems the same themes are occurring over and over again in regards to clothing.  If you need saves, let me know.

At a party or venue I will get:

• Sims in service NPC clothing
  • bartender (outfit only)
  • bouncer
  • entertainer
  • repairman
  • maid
• Sims appearing inside in outerwear
• Fans showing up in everyday clothing to venues
• If doctor career is played NPCs will show up to venues in the hospital gown
• If the played Sim gives birth at the hospital, the Sim will change into the hospital gown instead of party wear. automatically
• Situational outfits persist in venues and parties
• NPC Sims from active careers will show up to the house in the career outfit or to venues in the career outfit
• Outerwear persists indoors at venues and residential lots including during club meeting or when the squad is called
• NPC employees in active careers will show up to work in outewear.
• NPC suspect arrives to the police station in outerwear or everyday wear instead of the jumpsuit about 50% of the time.

Maybe some of these will shine light on the issue I am currently facing:

• [NEEDS SAVES] Teens in Scouts or Part-time Wear Old Career Outfits As Adults - I have had this happen in one of my saves.  I just saw this now and I am no longer playing that save.  The Sim will wear the scout uniform.  I have not tried with a part-time job.
• [NEEDS INPUT] ServiceNPC's Wearing Random Accessories - I have this happening in my game.  I think part of it is the accessories from different situations don't clear.  I had a Sim generate as a bouncer.  The Sim wore the earpiece that the bouncers wear.  When the same Sim was later used as a bartender, the earpiece remained.  Also, when a Sim has accessories in everyday wear, the accessories are worn in the NPC career outfits.  If the accessories are removed, a random one generates in its place. 
  • This is also connected to the random outwear outfits generated for Sims that were added to the game before Seasons.  Sims like Bella Goth that generate a random hot/cold weather outfit will have their accessories from their everyday outfit applied.  Bella Goth wears stockings.  In every game is she generated in, her hot/cold weather outfits will automatically have stockings.  Stocking are not an accessory for hot weather outfits.  It just carries over.
• [OPEN] Stealth townies don't wear NPC job uniforms - I have had this happen but it is rare.  The service NPCs will show up to work in the situational outfits rather than their job uniforms.
• [OPEN] [S] NPC Sims wear random cold/hot weather outfits not assigned - I am not sure if this is a bug in my game.  I checked the game files and the Sims could be wearing situational outfits for the seasons.  I know it was an issue on your end.  Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
• [OPEN] Sims don't change out of situational outfit - This is one of the reasons Sims are not showing up to parties dressed correctly.  If the Sim is a service Sim, like a bartender, entertainer, caterer or bouncer, they will show up to the next lot in the same outfit.  Even if my Sim has a party, the outfit will not clear and they will show up in the same outfit.  Some will even show up in their work outfits from active careers.
• [OPEN] [S] Sims won't change clothes according weather/coming into home - When I have a party on my lot, NPC Sim guests  don't change into the party clothes.  They still wear their outerwear when coming inside the house.  The same is true for venues.  NPC Sims will come to a venue wearing their outerwear instead of their regular clothing.  The only venue where this isn't an issue is the restaurant venue.
• [NEEDS SAVES] Weird situational outfits on NPCs (Mainly Hats/Accessoire) - This one is the same as [NEEDS INPUT] ServiceNPC's Wearing Random Accessories.  I don't know why they are separate.
• [FIXED] Outfits persist after events - This issue was fixed but it seems to still be going on and related to the other issues in the game.
• [FIXED] Sims wearing wrong outfits at venues/parties - This is the same issue as [FIXED] Outfits persist after events
• [OPEN] Towel outfit has random accessories - This one is related to the other situational outfits having random accessories added.  If the Sim has accessories in an outfit, the game will add the accessories to the game generated outfits including situational outfits.  If the accessory is not available, the game will generate a random accessory.
• [OPEN] [CL] Sims leaving apartments in underwear - Not sure if this is related but played Sims that live in apartments leave for school/university in their sleepwear and this persists through rotational play if the Sim is invited to another lot.
• [OPEN] [GTW] Cured Patients Leave Hospital Wearing Patient Gown - These Sims will also show up to venues wearing the hospital gown they left the hospital in.
• [NEEDS INPUT] [GT] Only one NPC club follows their rules - This doesn't happen 100% of the time.  When I have a club scheduled to gather on the community lot or a home lot, the club members will wear their outerwear instead of their club required outfits.  The club members do not change into these outfits when they get inside the house.  I am also having a similar issue with the Squad celebrity perk.  Sims when called using this may remain in their outerwear instead of dressing like the celebrity even if they are called to come inside a venue or a residential lot.  I have not seen this affect University organizations.[
• NEEDS INPUT] Missing wedding attire at wedding - My Sim had a wedding party.  The other Sims arrived in outerwear, situational outfits, and service NPC outfits.  The bride and groom were the only Sims in formal wear.
• [OPEN] [GTW] New mother keeps changing in hospital gown - a played Sim that has given birth at the hospital change into hospital gown instead of the party wear.  If the doctor career was played, unplayed Sims will show up to venues in the hospital gown.
• [OPEN] [CL] Sims going to School in PJs when living in an apartment - This is the same bug as [OPEN] [CL] Sims leaving apartments in underwear.
• [NEEDS INPUT] [GTW] Aliens Townies Don’t Wear Alien Clothing in Sixam - Aliens are showing up to Sixam in randomly generated clothing.  This also occurs when my Sim goes to a bar night.  They don't appear in their alien clothing but rather randomly generated clothing.
• [OPEN] Trends from the Trendsetter careers branch won't turn off - I don't know if this is related but I have a Sim in the trendsetter career in a save.  The Sims will wear the trends to parties instead of the party outfits.  There is no way to stop this from happening.
• [FEEDBACK] [GTW] Detective Career Suspect Clothes Confusion - this has not been fixed and is still occurring.  The suspect will also arrive in outerwear if Seasons is installed.
  [NEEDS INPUT] [S] [GTW] Suspects not recognizable during frost - this bug is probably related to [OPEN] [S] Sims won't change clothes according weather/coming into home.  The Sims are not wearing their normal clothing inside.  They are wearing their outerwear.

I am still experiencing this issue.  The Sims are not changing out of their situational outfits.
