@eidroJ What types of events are you trying to plan? The Seasons holiday event override any other planned events.
For example going on a date or planning a party. When there is an active holiday any social event on the same day will not show the goals for that event.
Thanks for replying! I tried to have a dinner party and even my wedding, neither were on event days... my pc never had issues so I’m really unsure about this issue...

When planning an event like a dinner party or wedding the option for a Goaled Event must be checked.
To verify it looks like you are now playing on PS4 correct?
You also mention your PC never had issues. My impression is you are comparing previous experience on PC to current experience on PS4. Troubleshooting is different so it would be good to confirm which system is involved.
PS4 recommendation is to completely turn off the console.
Unplug it from the power source and wait a few minutes.
Then turn it back on and see if the problem still exists.
Hi! I encounter the very same problem right now: I’m playing on PS4 and tasks for the social events won’t appear. As you shown in your screenshot, events on my screen are not selectable.
I’m able to host them still, however, I get the lowest rating possible.
I tried turning off PS4 and unplug it but it didn’t help ☹️
@elko113 To be sure, there are no holidays, or events going on and you aren't on a vacation?
Another event could be a date, a sim staying the night, bringing food, keyholders hanging out; etc.
It started happening when there was “Talking like a pirate day” and I started a Kava party and there were no goals, so I figured that this might be the problem. So I stopped making social events during holidays.
Now, I start the day- 1 sim in the household, no holiday, no work, no other events, basically just woke up at home on a day off and wants to start a social event -> it is not selectable and once set no goals appear.
The square box button worked!! And now goals appear 🤩 thank you!!
