Re: [FIXED] External Garbage Cans filling up without needed lot Trait

@greatabandon  While off topic I thought I'd address your concern about not being able to scrounge for bits and pieces. You need the lot trait "Reduce and Recycle" to get those options. Mind you, you can also just throw down a whole dumpster on your lot and get the full range of choices with that lot trait as well, once again requiring the lot trait but you get to dive for more recycables. It requires a recycler next to it though which is the downside.

Again, off topic, I saw another thread talking about how you can't rummage through trash in other neighborhood anymore.

Now finally ON topic. Get rid of all your outdoor cans and use a NanoCan Touchless Trash Can...it should still be bottomless like it is designed to be even if it won't let you feed it plates for money anymore and you do get 10 simoleons if your SIM puts something in there themself. Still bottomless is bottomless! It's better than having to delete and rebuy the other cans continually.

  • @SqueamishNerd  Oh yes, I'd forgotten about that option. I suppose because I've never used one before and that money can used to be an absolute MUST in all my houses. I'm still a little bummed I can't put plates in it for extra money. I used to have it be the ONLY garbage can option on the property because even throwing away my toddler's potty messes got me 10 simoleons. It was a literal money making machine.

I tried for a few SIM HOURS to live in the apartments, but my noisy neighbor was making it impossible to sleep and then I spotted the rodents in the walls and sudden cockroach infestations. I'm sure those who play with apartments know which one I took now. To say I was out of there before having enough trash to figure out there even was a trash chute is an understatement. Hahaha.

However, like I said, bottomless is bottomless so whether you want free bottomless or the occasional (now) money making bottomless you really can't go wrong! I suppose right now money is probably tight for these poor people after having to delete and buy so many trash cans so free is probably the bettter choice.

Seeing as I know so little about the chute, can it be put in a normal house or do you need an apartment for it? I suppose either way you'd need the city living expansion pack. Although I can see people getting that expansion now if only for the trash chutes. Hahaha.
