@RavenLure Do you have any ghosts that drowned ? They leave puddles too.
Since you are a mod user, it's easy to test if it's this issue or something else. Just install Scarlet's mod fix (you can find the link if check this list: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/INFORMATION-Common-Game-Fixing-Mods-Hero-Approved/td-p/9836185
If it helps, it's the same, if not, it's different.

I just noticed this happening a few minutes ago.
I was playing a residence in Komorebi. Only the second time since building this house. A single sim autonomously ate breakfast, washed his plate then got a glass of water. He put it on the table (Toasty Kotatsu table), then sat down and drank it. A puddle appeared behind him on the floor.
My other lots are usually busy with kids and multiple adults, but this is the only sim here.
In my current house my sims are constantly unwell because of dirty surroundings and I couldn't find anything dirty. And yes I noticed the puddles of water next to the sink and thought it was the dog - wait, the weather was nice and the dog didn't swim in the pool... anyway I am starting to have this isuse now after moving to a certain house a few days ago, but long after the recent update.
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@RavenLure You have to go to the third post, find the bug you have issues with if it's on there, there's a bug fix linked next to it.
And no, this doesn't fix mods, it fixes the bug with the water puddles caused by the bonehilde problem. If the issue goes away if you add that mod, then you have the same issue. If not, then it's different.
With mod user I meant that since you are already using mods, you are probably not against trying a mod fix. - Gednaa5 years agoSeasoned Ace
So, some days on since I posted in this thread and things have become worse! My sims go to their acting gigs and want to immediately go to the sink to get water. I also see NPCs getting water there too. Now I have to go into build mode, remove all 3 sinks from PBP so that my sims will not keep queueing up actions to go to the sink whilst in the middle of a performance! I have no puddles issue now, just the desperation of my sims to go to the sinks for a glass of water. I thought I'd fixed all this with MCCC but no, they still desperately want sinks and drinks! They're not thirsty, all bars are green. I noticed an update came a few hours ago and still the problem persists. I was really hopeful that it was a fix. ☹️
- RavenLure5 years agoRising Ace@crinrict This is not a bonehilda problem. This started way before paranormal I give up., I just destroy the puddles using the cheats.. thanks anyway

@RavenLure Let's do it this way: Make a new thread once they fix this and you're still having issues. For now, one thread is better to avoid too much confusion.
All I was suggesting was you could try the mod it fixes the issue for you as well but that's of course up to you.
- Gednaa5 years agoSeasoned Ace
@RavenLure Please do try the mod as Crin suggests. It's helped a lot even though they're still drinking a lot, we're not having to mop puddles at least! Sounds to me like the issue is going to get fixed, reading between the lines, so I guess we'll have to live with no sinks for a while or any liquid producing machines!🤔
I do not work For EA, but I do like to help people if I can
Keep on simming and have fun!

If anyone has (or wants to try) MCCC, that will solve that problem (and MANY others).
Just use it's included MCTuner. It creates a file in the mod directory to allow it to work across ALL saves. You can add lines in it to stop random water drinking, tea drinking, coffee drinking, random ghosts breaking objects, random shoveling snow... basically ANY automated tasks.
Here's some of the lines from MY mc_tuner.cfg file...
26319,fridge_GrabDrinkAutonomously
133052,sink_StartCrafting_Autonomously
164355,fridge_GrabWaterAutonomously
222271,autonomous_ObjectPicker_Sink_StartCraftingUse MCCC's MCTuner and have those lines in the file and your sims will NEVER autonomously get water again.
- Gednaa5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Psychotps Thanks I can add those to my cfg file! (which is pretty long!). I did notice at my acting gig today that he didn't keep getting the sink showing up in his bar, which I always had to cancel or remove all the sinks! Not today. Maybe this has been addressed? Fingers crossed! There was small update a couple of nights ago.
- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Gednaa Lol, I wouldn't know. Those lines I listed have been a part of my install for AGES. My sims haven't autonomously gotten water in years.
- Gednaa5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Psychotps Mine shouldn't grab water from the sinks as I ran an autonomy scan, but they still do (or did). I've put the globe bar in for them, and they're like heat seeking missiles, gravitating towards it! It's going again!!

This isn't a bonehilda problem. Clearly you haven't read the entire thread, if you had, you would have seen myself and others commenting that we do not have the paranormal pack. Further we have provided videos and photographs of this bug. It exists. It is not an issue with paranormal pack. Its an issue caused by one of the recent patches: December 7th, 2020, December 14th, 2020 or January 21st, 2021
Here is a screenshot of my most recent Sims 4 purchases
CM Edit: Removed screenshot as it contained information that would aide in the theft of an account
I have not purchased Paranormal Pack. Nor have several others in this thread
Before you tell me "this thread is about the bonehilda problem" no it is not. If you look at the creation date of this thread, this bug existed well before BoNeHeLdA existed in Sims 4- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Gednaa Put those lines I listed in. I came across the same problem and contacted Deaderpool on his discord. They gave me the 222271 line to put in. For some reason it doesn't show up on the Autonomy scan.
- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace@elektropunch But it COULD be caused by the Paranormal pack update. The paranormal pack update was pushed to ALL games, not just ones with the paranormal pack.
Every time they release a pack, they release an update a week before. That's how games without paranormal got the "Scared" and "Terrified" moodlets for their sims. - crinrict5 years agoHero+
@elektropunch I said it was caused by the PATCH that came before paranormal. Of course it's happening for everyone but the core issue is still the water passing through bonehilda which isn't gated properly and hence happening to all Sims although it should only happen to bonehilda. I referred to it as the bonehilda issue cause bringing her into the pack caused an issue on the patch.
If people were seeing it BEFORE the paranormal patch, there might be something else going on but that we'll know only after they patched this issue.
- Gednaa5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Psychotps I did just that and today there's been no sign of grabbing water when I replaced all the sinks in the house. Thanks so much! I did wonder why when I had it set not to grab water that they were grabbing water like their lives depended on it!
- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace
Yeah, didn't make any sense to me either. The "Getting a glass of water" has been a problem for a long time, and instead of fixing it, (nerfing it) they went and added ANOTHER automated action of getting a glass of water, and suspiciously, MCTuner can't detect it. But it CAN stop it, if you have the code... which is what I posted.
