Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It happens randomly.
What happens when the bug occurs? A chat box appears as if my Sim is in conversation. It can be when he's just walking round or carrying out an activity such as collecting or if he's in a bar having a drink. It can also happen when my Sim is in conversation with his partner or neighbours, friends. A conversation box appears as if he's talking to someone but he's not. I click the image to locate the random Sim but they can't be found usually. Or sometimes they are just walking out of sight, the random Sim leaves the location and it still doesn't close. It stays there until I go to manage worlds. It's stuck there for days at a time if my Sim is at their home lot or holiday lodging area, camping spot. There are no chatting tasks in his queue for that Sim. It's usually a stranger, no relationship appears for them in the friendships. If I can find the Sim and actually speak to them I have to introduce my Sim to them first and then I click Goodbye, but that still does not close the box. The Sims go their separate ways but the box is stuck at the top of the screen.
What do you expect to see? I can't close it. It's stuck. At the risk of sounding facetious I expect less bugs impacting gameplay. It would help immeasurably if there was a way to end chats from the chat box.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.

So I've already voiced my disappointment in the lack of bug fixes lately when there are so many bugs severely impacting our games.

Sadly, this recent patch added more issues when I'd sincerely hoped it would fix some things.

This one means that my Sim can't interact with his partner without the Awkward Conversation thing popping up. It can slow gameplay if it's on his home lot as it's as if he has visitors so the fast forward might not work. When it appears my Sim can stop what he's doing to speak to the Sim but they never actually engage with him.

I've thought for a while that it would solve a lot of problems with interruptions if you could end a chat from the chat box. If it's intended to do that already, then it doesn't.
