Re: [FIXED] Can't build a rocket

Has anyone figured out a solution to build the rocket ship for Xbox? Is there a cheat code? Will deleting the country living dlc fix the issue? I can’t start building at geekcon but can work on it once a NPC  starts it. I can’t build the rocket at the science lab in the scientist career and cannot get the NPC employees there to build it either. The option is grayed out and it says the rocket isn’t available. I can’t invite a neighbor and ask them to build it. The option doesn’t exist for me even when creating a group. Can anyone help me?

@DarrenK2003 I've merged your post into the current bug report for this issue. Please click the "Me Too" button at the bottom of the first post on the first page of the thread.

You have a couple options for the rocket.

    1. Enable the Tech Support NAP (Eco Living) and invite sims over. They will autonomously start building the rocket for your sims.
    2. Create a Club (Get Together) and have rocket science as the activity. Sims should start building the rocket during club meetings. Was informed this does not work, maybe you could try yourself if you have the packs.

@PoptartJuniper Hi, I’ve tried the club repeatedly… it does not work. Even if it’s the only activity set for the club.
The NAP does work … and removing Cottage Living also works. The NAP means you must purchase an additional pack (eco life) to use rockets or removing a purchase you made (cottage living)
    These solutions are completely UNACCEPTABLE.

I’m sure you know this … I do appreciate you trying to help but asking people to purchase packs to fix a glitch is completely unfair.

@MamaRockit Thanks for letting me know the club does not work. I've edited my post.

I don't believe I recommended purchasing packs as a work around for this or any bug. The above poster simply asked ways that they could get around the issue.

I was finally able to get it working for my scenario! I had to vote “tech support” for a Neighborhood Action Plan or whatever, and make her boyfriend a master creator. It took several days, but he finally came over and built the rocket enough that my sim could complete it.  So a massive shout out to whomever suggested trying that.

Also, still shame on EA for releasing a scenario where they know a borked line of code will make it hard or impossible.

This scenario for the rocket is annoying though. You have to bring back 5 different alive aliens, and you don’t get an alien every flight.

@PoptartJuniper The solutions you have given require you to purchase packs in order to use the solutions given. So, inadvertently you did.
You need to have Eco life for NAPs and you would need Get together for clubs (doesn’t work though)
You can’t use your given solutions without purchasing the packs that have them. 🙂

    @MamaRockit Good point!

Not to mention that some of the job requirements as a scientist etc need YOU to build it. Doesn't count if someone else starts it for you. ☹️

@PoptartJuniper This worked thank you so much! I’m a pc player who didn’t want to use mods and since it worked I can carry on the not so berry challenge!
