What happened to me is like this, but eh baby did come back from daycare. If there is no one in the house to look after them, they get sent to daycare, or you can hire a nanny, which can get expensive.

If you have got enough perks you can buy the no charge for all services perks, then you can hire a nanny as often as you need.

I don't save it if I a child or pet taken away, then next time I play I find moving another adult sim into the household to look after it or move the child or pet into another household,
