I wanted to cook together with another sim but after i selected the other sim and went to the screen for the food it never loaded and it froze my game on the loading screen to the food. and my game hasnt saved yet so all the progress i had before that is gone now thanks.

This happens to me as well. Not all of the time but once in a while. My sim will choose "cook with" and I can choose the sim but when it opens to the meal I get a gray overlay on the screen. I will attempt to include a screenshot. I have no mods or cc in my game.
This just happened when Mmmy daughter went to adopt a pet. Alt-f4 says "Cannot Save" "The game is currently in a state where saving isn't possible.
