@crinrict  I know what a bug is. I thought it was a bug. I thought the feature was missing from the game due to a bug, but it seems EA created a pack just to frustrate players since I read it's supposed to be automatic payment.  I thought I was being clever by being the tenet instead of the landlord. Guess not. LOL!  Thanks for your assistance. 

I checked in my save and indeed travelling to another lot and back I had finally a notification to pay the bills and the option appeared on the mailbox.

I also observed that there are no mailman npc.

For me the travelling to another lot does nothing. I took a vacation, and visited all of my sims families in different worlds, still no way to pay bills, electricity and water shut down when i return to my home lot.

Same for me. Traveling did nothing. I just gave up. They need to fix it. The game is unplayable with this bug 

Update: evicting my household, moving in another household, evicting them and moving my sims back also didn’t fix this.

Update: demolishing my house, reuploading it from the gallery and moving my family there doesn’t help. The power and water is still shut off - I need to ”pay my bills”. 

Having the same problem. This pack needs a serious update!

Another update for anyone struggling with the bug. You can get your bills delivery by traveling to another lot and back, but only before they expire. If you wait too long, the whole thing glitches and you will just have to wait for the repoman. If you travel the same day you were supposed to get bills you should be able to do it when you return to your lot. If you check the bill information  and see the weird wwwwwwwwwww-text, it has already glitched.

Just a heads up! The recent update they released does not fix this bug. Still unable to pay bill or receive the option to do so. 

I don’t understand is this not a big affecting everyone. Is no one playing as a tenant, what is happening? 

Hopefully this won’t be one the new gardening bug.

Has anyone found an another workaround for us to try? Or a mod that will fix this until EA does? I really wanna play the pack but it’s impossible with this big.

Update: for me this problem has not reappeared after the latest update. However since it still seems to be affecting people I hope ea looks into it.

I thought I would expand a bit.  this has rendered my sims household completely unplayable. the bills follow my household around. It says my bills are overdue, but bills information says unpaid bills actually total a CREDIT of $63. Powers been turned off for past due bills with no option to pay them on mailbox, phone, computer, or to landlord directly when I had them visit.  I moved them to another residential rental lot, still had the same issue. Moved them again to a regular residential lot, suddenly had the option in my mailbox, phone, etc to pay my bills, showing the amount was actually a credit of $63. every time my sims try to pay them, nothing happens. the pay bills option still shows. power is still turned off at the new lot. my household is now completely unplayable, as wherever i try to move them i still have no power and no way to fix it. EA needs to fix this ASAP. 

The crazy part is is that I have not seen any save files requested by the moderators or nothing. I don’t even think EA is fixing this. I don’t they even have this as a bug their fixing, I have not see anyone talk about this on Twitter at all.

The same happened to me. I decided to just move my household into a residential lot and the option to pay the bills is there but everytime I go to pay it, it’s doesn’t register as paid. The option still appears and funds were subtracted from the household. It’s ridiculous. My other save file does not have this problem with a residential lot 

Try pressing on the letter box on your home lot and than “show bills information” from there you should see the option to “pay apartment rent” 

this is through SNS bills app though. Hope it helps until EA decides to do some major changes to the pack!

The only thing I found that worked is being able to have MC Commend center. Through that mod, I’m able to have auto bills one and this prevents the bug from happening. However, it’s not fair for a mod to help fix a game problem since everyone does not/ are unable to have mods. This needs to still be fixed.
