@pessyl92See if you can turn it into a regular residential lot or genetic lot. If so, go back out of the lot to see if it is then set as residential or genetic your choice. If it set as one of them go back in and change it to a Bar, see if that works.

@pessyl92But the more I think about it it might be recognizing as a buyable lot. Just see if one of your sims can buy it then change it. You should be able to change it without going through all that. They need to look at this problem. You also might want to reset your sims folder. Put the folder Sims 4 on the desktop and restart the game. Them from the old Sims 4 folder move the mod folder if you have anything in it. I always skip the resource file when asked if you want to replace. Add back your save folder, tray folder, screenshots if you have any, video, music if you added your own, if you see an exclude music file if you turned off certain songs in the game.and the option file, if your changed the settings in the game.

Absolutely 100% this has happened to me a number of times. I cant buy and use it as a residential rental,  and I can move people in but sometimes its not like they are there or they dont function like familys I have control over.

I managed to somehow fix it sometimes when I turned it to generic- if I can bulldoze it - sometimes it will not bulldoze.

many times even if I change the lots,  it goes back to residential.  I drop something from the gallery,  which is another lot type-and clicking the option to go with the gallery venue time- if it lets me,  this has worked a few times-  but many times it doesn't.  That you can't drop anything other than a residential rental,  is a huge problem.

This is happening to me as well and I now have 3 lots that I can’t do anything with (I’m on Xbox so only get limited saves) I’m only using one save to mess about with residential rentals as I don’t want to corrupt my other saves. However I also have a bug where I can’t save lots to my library anymore!  Some lots it doesn’t seem to effect and they change fine, some get stuck but seem to change randomly and some get just stay stuck! 

I feel like it’s completely broken my game! 

I recently tried to bulldoze the lot but wierdly it seems to just load indefinetly. Like it just hangs on the screen where it’s trying to bulldoze the lot. I think I should just leave the premade apartments there for now and only build apartments if I’m 100% sure I don’t want to change the lot type. The save file I’m playing in is a genesis challenge where I populate each world one by one, my sims’ family is miles away from making it to Tomorang so I can wait for these bugs to be fixed.
