Re: Game won't launch MSVCP100.dll is missing. EA support no help!!

Try installing this Visual C++ package.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Make sure you install both (vcredist_x64.exe and vcredist_x86.exe) if your operating system is 64-bit or just vcredist_x86.exe if your operating system is 32-bit.

If that didn't help, also install these too.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13523

Following the same rules as before with 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

Let me know if that helped at all. 🙂

Did 'all of the above' - having spent most of the day with EA's unhelpful 'Help' - I was desperate. Your links worked, I now have Sims 4 back.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Did you also try uninstalling the VC++ redists or did you install over the existing ones ?

My DUDE!!  I downloaded the 64 and 86 from the second two links in your post, and replaced them both in the folder of the game giving me issues (Need For Speed 2016).  I had been working on fixes for DAYS, and had been researching for a fix.  Don't normally post in forums ever, but this worked for me, so i just wanted to say thanks!

@Flyingsgetti  MSVCP100.dll is part of the VC++ 2010 runtimes, which you can still download from Microsoft:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26999

If the number in the .dll you're seeing is slightly different (MSVCP120 or 140), you'll need a different VC++ runtime.  Google the error to find the exact one, then find the official Microsoft download link.  A third-party site might instead offer you additional downloads you didn't want.

Now after adding admin privileges I'm not even getting the error, it just isn't launching. Starts for a second and then stops.
