lexileo77 Have you uninstalled the runtimes and manually reinstalled them? If not, please do so now. Under Windows Settings > Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables and uninstall any version from 2015 or newer. Don't touch the older ones. You can download fresh copies here:

You'll need both the x86 and x64 versions, but not the ARM version. Restart your computer after installing the runtimes and before doing anything with Sims 4.

In general, repairing a game is a good alternative to updating, although I don't think it would help with the VC++ runtimes issue. But if you get stuck in an update loop in the future, it's worth trying.
