Your computer barely make the minimum specs (RAM, graphics chip and processor).

You can try updating the graphics driver, maybe that does help some but with only 128 of dedicated video memory, I think lowest is what you need to play.

There's also some Windows update failures in your DxDiag. Can you check if all is updated now ?

Could you return the computer ? If so, I would do so.

yes I'm updating windows the now. I'm so disappointed as being nearly 500 pounds youd think it would be able to play the sims right ☹️ I cant return it and would only get £200 for it in a second hand good store near me . I don't even know if there is laptops near the 200-300 pound mark that would run the sims as that's the only reason id buy it? ive updated the graphic thru the dell website a month ago it helped but not hughly. so stuck on what to do now ....

You won't find any laptops in that price range .. 500 should have gotten you a decent one though. Not top-notch but still better playable.

Laptops are usually more expensive for the hardware you get because of the portability. Desktop computers are cheaper. You get more for less.

Are you using cc or any expansion packs ? I would try removing any cc/mods you might have, that might make it smoother. Packs also can add to the load, so if you have any of the bigger ones, maybe try uninstalling those.

Go for something with a dedicated graphics card, 8 GB of RAM and i5 or i7 processor.

Best thing is to search some yourself and if you find something, post the specs here before buying so we can check it and give you advise.
